Reason for only 2 room stars:The room on the second floor could only be reached via the stairs using cell phone flashlights. There were lamps with motion detectors in the walls. Not one of them was operational. The staff was informed immediately and promised remedial action, but this was not done. So the only alternative was to provide some security with flashlights.Some of the lamps in the room were also out of order, so there was minimal lighting.The wardrobe was extremely small and built into a sloping roof. This meant that it was not possible to hang clothing appropriately.SERVICE:The breakfast buffet was OK. BUT the service was obviously rather poor due to a lack of staff.(There was only 1 lady present who was responsible for reception and service in Personalinion).We had to point out the need for improvement several times.Sometimes cutlery was missing, then cups and glasses, etc. were missing. Food was added with a long delay.There was also a lack of the right temperature for hot food. For example, scrambled eggs and bacon were cold.My wife and I will certainly favor another hotel in the region in the future.

A very nice hotel with beautifully renovated rooms. All that was missing was a toothbrush cup. The mattress was far too soft for me.The restaurant is first class, great dishes, well presented but also a bit too expensive. Nice service staff.The breakfast buffet wasn't very extensive. Baked rolls and no bread at all. We would have expected much more for €20.

The breakfast was delicious, the bed was relaxing, the shower head was wonderful (long hair) - you rarely have that. Unfortunately, there was no clean place to put clothes, there were traces of blood and remains of killed insects on the walls, and the shower curtain and the pull-out mirror in the bathroom were dirty. The light in the bathroom is completely unsuitable for putting on make-up.

We spent a long weekend as a couple at the Hotel Meinsbur to relax together in peace. The location and the house radiate a lot of peace and comfort. The inside of the house is also beautifully furnished and, with the solid wall colors, appears historic and yet elegant.We were welcomed very warmly, even if the representative had to ask the manager over the phone (but we didn't think that was a big deal).The room was also nicely furnished and very large. The back part with the seating area was almost unnecessary since the room is only intended for two people anyway. A few things visually bothered us in the bathroom. Tiles were chipped and not repaired well. Apparently a lamp was missing from the mirror and you had to look at an unsightly hole. The flush ran constantly (we only mentioned this when we checked out, but if the bathroom is cleaned every day, you must have noticed it).Finally, breakfast. It wasn't bad, but for €20 (or €26 for non-hotel guests) it was a bit meager. There was a relatively small selection of sausage and cheese and a few packaged spreads, jams, etc. I would simply like to see more variety here and also home-made things or food from the region. The service was rarely visible and mostly just sat at the reception, unless you put juice bottles at the counter to refill. The tables were therefore not covered for a relatively long time. There were tablecloths stacked on a chair at the counter for the entire three days, which in my opinion has no place in the dining room. The coffee was drawn from one of those big machines that just finish mixing everything, although there would have been a great portafilter machine. Of course it has to be served, but, as mentioned, the service staff didn't seem to be working at full capacity.Conclusion: We had a nice time in the hotel, but there is still room for improvement when it comes to breakfast.

We were at the restaurant for dinner. The ambience is very nice and stylish. With the wooden beamed ceiling it looks dignified and cozy.At the beginning, fresh bread with a dip was served. We would have liked small plates here to put the slices of bread on.The reservation was made with the note 'silver wedding dinner', but this was not taken into account when setting the table.The selection of dishes is summarized in a nice menu. The selection is clear as can be foundActually always a delicious meal. We had the tempura prawns and a chanterelle soup first, both really tasty. As a main course, a Viennese schnitzel, chanterelle risotto, roast beef with fried potatoes, or Hamburg panfish with cucumber salad rounded off a cozy evening. The price level is adjusted accordingly to the dishes. But the waiters might be able to pour more wine when the glass empties. Now that's complaining at a high level. But thank you for a nice evening.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and the hotel and gardens are beautiful.Room: Very comfortable beds, great room, very cozy. Unfortunately the room was very warm, even though it was only about 20 degrees outside.Service: Super nice and attentive service and very friendly.Breakfast: For 20 euros per person it is very manageable and although the products are very tasty, the price/performance ratio is not right. It's also a shame that the waitress is alone in the morning and has to take care of everything and therefore can't keep up. There is a picture on the Internet at Booking where salmon can be seen, but there is no salmon. The sausage platter and the cheese platter are very small and have little choice. A small table trash can at the place would be great.A refrigerated counter for the food would certainly be appropriate and the selection could offer more (salmon, meat, etc.) and labeling the food (sausage and cheese) would make sense.The fresh fruit is very nice.We felt very well looked after and apart from a few little things, we really liked it.The only thing that can certainly be improved upon is breakfast.

Great hotel to spend the night. We were first in the luxury room on the top floor. Only because there was no air conditioning and it was very hot did we ask for a room with a terrace. We got a room in the separate building next door. That was very old and a lot less luxurious.We had to pay an additional 40 euros for this, which was fine in itself, but in fact not value for money.Breakfast was fine!Staff very friendly.

The Bendestorfer Landhaus Meinsbur is once again run by experienced restaurateurs and hoteliers and I (we) had the pleasure of eating there this evening. I can only say superlatives about the service and hospitality.The pasta tasted at least as good as a typical Italian restaurant and the Hamburg panfish was even better than in well-known Hamburg fish restaurants. The food was simply delicious and the atmosphere in the country house was very cozy.Both the dessert and the starter were in a class of their own and rounded off our evening perfectly. We celebrated a good friend's birthday here and it was a wonderful experience. There will certainly be many more encounters of this kind that we look forward to.I can only warmly recommend a visit to the Bendestorfer Landhaus Meinsbur and will definitely come back. 5 Stars!

Lovely quiet hotel with a very good and neat appearance. Walked through the village where you feel like you have gone back in time given the beautiful old houses and farms. The restaurant staff is of a level that many hotels/restaurants can follow. Very helpful and friendly. We were here on our way to Sweden, but I can imagine staying a little longer.

A fantastic hotel for the price. Arrived here in the evening and had a wonderful meal in the garden. This is a family-run hotel. Very good atmosphere. The staff are very polite and service minded. They also speak good English. The only point of improvement is that they could refill the breakfast buffet more often, as there were several items that were empty. The beds were very good, the only thing missing was air conditioning.

Had dinner here 3x with our family and friends! It was a great experience. The restaurant has a nice ambiance with modern decor. The food was good and servings are on the large side. Not too many selection on the menu. The 3rd time the service was slow maybe because they're short staffed. Other than that, it's a very nice restaurant with good food and good ambiance.

Good day. Those were 3 wonderful days with you. I thought the concept with the garden houses was great. Thanks for that. Unfortunately, service is one point less because I specifically asked when I arrived how long I could have breakfast. I was told there until 10:30. It also worked great twice, only on the third day I was informed at 10:05 a.m. that breakfast would only be available until 10 a.m. and for this reason there would be no more scrambled eggs or jam for me. I still paid the full price. To clear up misunderstandings. I know that I eat breakfast very late. That's why I'm asking about it. Nevertheless, you will see me again. It should only serve as a suggestion. I just wish I had breakfast that looked like it was at 8 a.m. because I'm paying exactly the same price. LG.
