Rating for the restaurant only:All around a lovely experience.Beautifully designed guest room. Very friendly and courteous service. There were 4 people there. Everyone was very happy with the food. However, we give a small deduction for the price. A bit too high for our standards. But you can take it with you for a nice experience with friends.

This hotel feels like a country home with fresh air.The breakfast is European-style, and I thought I would get sick if I ate it every day, but it wasn't so, so it was okay.The inside of the room is very nice.The overall atmosphere is like being deep in the mountains and healing your mind and body.To sum it up in one word, it is very comfortable.

We cycled here several times during our vacation because we liked it so much. The (mostly) ladies in service are warm, friendly and attentive. There are definitely experts at work in the kitchen, setting off aroma fireworks with the little temptations on the menu. Stopping here is recommended under all circumstances.

Sorry, the concept with the tablet and the small menu doesn't make sense to me (us). If the waitress stumbles when explaining the concept, that says it all. Unfortunately the meat was also fried to death. Nope... unfortunately it was nothing.

Simply brilliant. Prices 2 to 4 euros more expensive, but really fantastic. Steak with pepper sauce is recommended. The pepper sauce is in second place in Germany. First place still Krone in Eckarsweier...Update:The crown in Eckartsweier no longer exists because of the fire; too bad!Now to the actual thing:Now we've already started...The first time we were moved from one table to the other three times; the second time the old stocks from the predecessors were still there despite reservations!Coordination at the lowest level. Only an operator who has a clear view. Rest is unskilled and awaits instructions. This is a personnel problem! There wasn't even much going on. I estimate 50% capacity outside. We were there on a Saturday/Sunday, so it was supposed to be running. Meat is very good, there isn't much choice for vegetarians. Our daughter's salad wasn't even dressed.The prices are set high, so you can expect service and a selection for everyone. Salads that come from the kitchen are a no go.Price performance is definitely not right. Unfortunately it was the last time for us. There are other upscale hotels in Ortenau that are cheaper and offer much better performance.

Today we ate in the garden restaurant as we passed through the campsite. And I can only say it is a dream of peace, location, service and food. We received a very friendly welcome and were given a nice shady spot. The food was awesome. From a small salad with a dressing that you would love to bathe in, to a perfect fried rump steak with delicious crispy fries. The schnitzel with spaetzle is also second to none. 5 stars is 5 stars not enough. Anyone who passes by should take a break or vacation there. I can't say anything about the rooms. Nevertheless, I have to give 5 stars because the restaurant more than deserves a 5.0.

The weather was unsafe for dinner in the garden restaurant as it started to rain (only a few seats under a roof or umbrellas). So we switched to the indoor restaurant. After we waited inside the restaurant for fifteen minutes and no one from the staff took care of us, we moved on. We remembered the service in the Kreuz Restaurant from five years ago quite differently... What a shame.
