Landgasthaus Zum Pflug

Totally recommended. Our room was ideal, comfortable and very pleasantly decorated. It was like a small apartment with two rooms, one with two beds for the children (the only thing missing was the kitchen!!) We had a balcony and a terrace from which to see the stars at night! The hotel has a very quiet location and a restaurant with a terrace where we had exquisite dishes for dinner two nights. Very well attended to by both the hotel owners and the restaurant waitress. I recommend dining at the restaurant where there is an atmosphere of calm and tranquility. Breakfast included, also very good, with homemade jams among many other things. I would return without a doubt.

A very nice, traditionally and modernly furnished country hotel in a family atmosphere, warm service and very good food and drinks. We would be happy to come back at any time.Part 1 - necessary due to character limitFrom July 13th to 17th, 2024 we were guests at the Landhotel Gasthaus “Zum Pflug” with a four-man hiking group.It was still raining lightly when we arrived, but when we arrived, the sun came out from behind the clouds, as expected, and largely replaced them in the coming days.We were warmly welcomed and welcomed by the landlady, Mrs. Waltraud Bitsch, and moved into the impeccably furnished rooms. Each room has its own name with an individual touch and fits very well into the overall concept of “modernity embraces tradition”. The decoration throughout the house is beautifully coordinated.Immediately afterwards we set off on an exploration tour through the town of Unterentersbach. The village is still agricultural and the church in the center is dedicated to St. Nicholas. In between runs the village stream, which first flows into a pond and then into the nearby Kinzig. All the houses are well maintained, people greet each other in a friendly manner and are helpful - something that is unfortunately no longer a given these days.After the tour through the village, we wanted to go to Zell am Harmersbach, about 3 km away, to quench our hunger and thirst. On the way was the “Gröbnerhof” golf club, which is based on a former manor. There is always Italian cuisine there, which tastes very good and doesn't cost too much.Well fortified, we continued on to Zell, the main town of the community. When we arrived here, we wanted to take a look at the public viewing location in the run-up to the European Championship final, but we unexpectedly stumbled upon a civil wedding there and were immediately provided with cool refreshments. After congratulating the bride and groom, we looked at the path to the start of the “Hahn & Henne” hike (https://www.zell.de/start/tourismus/premiumweg+hahn-und-henne-runde.html) the next day and then we rested for advice in the restaurant near the stork tower. After the plan was made, we went back to the hotel in the evening to have dinner there.In the "Pflug" you get very good food, the service is very friendly and both can only be recommended. The wines offered were tasty and went well with the food.The next day, the day hike "Hahn & Henne" was on our program and after a very good and rich breakfast, if you wish you can also get an omelette with bacon, fried eggs, etc., we set off.The hike led to and through Zell am Harmersbach, the start of the hiking trail was reached after 5km. The path itself leads mainly through forest, partly covered in moss, lined with benches, viewpoints or panoramic views or places to stop for refreshments, such as those at the August Lehmann mountain farm or the Vogt inn on Mühlstein. Crosses, fountains and works of art from ancient times can be admired on all paths and towns.When planning a hike, you should keep in mind that there are rest days in the area, on which some hiking trails do not offer the opportunity to return.This also applies to the country hotel "Zum Pflug", where Mondays and Tuesdays are closed and you would have to plan for a meal outside. But here too, the relatively early closing times of the surrounding kitchens should be taken into account.After the hiking trail and the way back to the hotel were completed, we arrived back at the hotel at around 7 p.m. after about 26km. Since the kitchen only accepts orders until around 8 p.m., we had to hurry and so the very pleasant conversations with the beautiful table neighbors had to be interrupted for the necessary shower - especially since the European Championship final was on our program at 9 p.m. There was pressure in the boiler :-)Unfortunately, Google doesn't allow more text, so I'll write the rest in another portal and link it here later.

Had a very nice evening.The food was very tasty and the portions were sufficient.Everyone could find something on the wine list and unfortunately there was no room for dessert... but definitely next time.The two service staff were always present but not intrusive.We felt really comfortable.5 stars from us
