One of the cheaper hostels in Berlin. 30 minutes walk from the Brandenburg Gate, 5 minutes walk to the metro station. Poor quality toilet - few sinks and average level of cleanliness. The rooms have clean linen and comfortable beds.

I can hardly believe it! I booked Design Hostel P182 for one night from July 28th to July 29th, 2023, and what was waiting for me? An absolute nightmare! The pictures on Booking.com really misled me. I found myself in a dirty, disgusting and unhygienic hole that is absolutely unacceptable!You wouldn't believe how I felt when I contacted the hostel and asked for a refund after sending them all those horrible pictures, only to receive a cold, heartless rejection! No accommodation, no apology, nothing! This is simply a complete disgrace and I am really extremely disappointed and annoyed.It is simply unacceptable that booking platforms like Booking.com show images and information that do not correspond to reality at all. Guests should be honestly informed about what to expect and not fall into this terrible trap.

After initial confusion as to where the hostel and entrance is, and how to get through the building with the doors locked, all was well. Beautiful furnishings, quiet location, large kitchen, quiet corridors. The showers were quite a distance away and of course crowded and dirty in the mornings, but otherwise a good experience!. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it to anyone in good conscience (especially not to solo travelers). Nobody is there, nobody is cleaning and you feel unsafe. Better book somewhere else!

The staff was super friendly and the hostel is very well located. There’s a nice lounge area if you have to do home office. The elevators don’t always work so if you have luggage that’s something to think about. Also, there is no air conditioning.

Dirty toilet, holes in the ceiling. Broken bed frame, torn down, could list a lot of things that aren't right. At that price it's a disgrace. Opposite at the hotel LINDEMANN you get a top room with breakfast and staff at a significantly lower price. The whole thing is a disgrace.

Awful customer service - NO STAFF ON SITE at any time. Our door were broken and a key stuck inside a room. No one was willing to help Us so we had to sleep on the floor for one night! This is unacceptable! You can't enter the building after 11pm so say bye bye to Berlin at Night. Noisy.

1. None of guests could enter the building after 11pm, so if you plan tasting Berlin’s night life - stick away. :( 2. We got a room with an old lock and we didn’t get any help when our key and all our belongings stuck in a room. We were left alone with no money, phone, etc. As a result we were forced to “sleep” first night on the floor in a uncomfortable shared space. There was no single employee in the hostel to solve issues. They informed us via phone that they don’t have a spare key. They didn’t care we have no place to sleep :( They found some key duplicate in the morning, couldn’t that be done 10 hours earlier? 3. No receptionists during working hours.

I'm often out and about and you experience this and that. But here in the hostel... Bad! The location: 4th and 5th floors of a large office building. Check-in only possible at a terminal. It didn't work right away. Ask the cleaning staff if they can help and call someone. At first they just giggled, then “understood nothing” and they were gone. After trying for 10 minutes, an employee came and helped. The rooms and bed OK. But: You find a towel the size of a tea towel. One, mind you. If you want one, it costs extra. From an ecological point of view it's ok, but in the bathroom you have to run the shower for 4-5 minutes until warm water comes...🥴.The doormat in front of the room... disgusting. Paper towel dispenser...empty for 2 days.. The room doors are banged into the frame so violently by a door closer that you fall out of bed at night when other guests come home/leave. Impossible to sleep through. The hallway wasn't swept once in the 2 nights. Totally dirty. Sink and walls around it...dirty. Soap empty and not refilled in two out of four showers during the stay. Community kitchen a disaster. And the combination door lock to the living area is broken... you sometimes need 5 minutes to open the door. If asked, yes that would have to be done. In this condition single room 50 euros a night is absolutely unacceptable. Never, never again.

I booked the hotel for 3 nights, it was absolutely not worth the money. there was no staff in the whole hostel even at the reception. if you arrived earlier it is impossible to leave your suitcase at the hotel. the showers were dirty and the lounge is always closed, we didn't see any coffee or kitchen at all

Inconspicuous from the outside, but really beautiful from the inside and with a retro look that appeals to you. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are completely sufficient for the number of people you specify. The bathroom is also very good and is very hygienic. Location is good, but you need the subway or S-Bahn to get to the Brandenburg Gate or other places as it takes a little too long on foot.
