Borkum is a very beautiful island, you can take your car with you to the island... definitely visit the Ostland... there are many nice restaurants... and a lot to discover on the island.....

Very boyish treatment!Information about a price increase for breakfast one day before departure. Breakfast itself was ok.Rooms old fashioned but clean. Location is optimal

Incredibly unfriendly owner, sudden, unspoken price increase that we simply had to accept.Breakfast itself was very good.Rooms a bit dated, but still OK.And YES, we were there.And we didn't imagine the price increase that was already mentioned in a previous post.

Friendly hostess, decent breakfast! The apartment is a bit old, but everything is clean and well maintained. Only suitable to a limited extent for older people with walking difficulties, as the breakfast room on the 3rd floor can only be reached via a steep staircase.

Light and shadowNice guesthouse, close to the center and the beach.My single room was small but clean and well furnished with a TV, kettle and small fridge.You could get drinks from the fridge on the first floor for a reasonable price.For breakfast there was a rich buffet in the cozy breakfast room under the roof, where the boss herself looked after the guests. You could express your bread roll requests in advance via email.BUT where there is a lot of light, there are unfortunately also shadows and points are deducted for this:Since I took the morning ferry back, I had to be at the port by car at 8 a.m. Breakfast is only available from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Unfortunately it was probably not possible to get a coffee and a bread/roll “to go” at 7:30 a.m.I don't expect you to be allowed to go to the buffet earlier, but if you still have over 600km to drive after the ferry, a coffee and some food to take away wouldn't have been bad! Especially since breakfast for that day was charged in full!There has been no response from the Berg family to my husband's friendly email written on the same day regarding reimbursement of the breakfast costs (it has already been a week)!Sorry, but we understand something different by hospitality!

Be careful - be sure to check your invoice!The operator likes to try to charge twice for breakfast, which is also rationed to two rolls per guest!This happened to us and other guests, as we observed.The impressively unemphasized landlady also sometimes reprimands her guests in a barracks-like tone in front of the assembled breakfast party if something displeases her.Unfortunately the beds are also in summerEquipped with winter furniture that is much too warm.The central location is positive.To the owners:NO, this is neither a competition nor a “revenge” review, but exactly what I experienced myself!Please do not assume that critical reviews have unfair intentions.Not a second vacation in Haus Bettina.Overall, unfortunately not a good example for the Borkum hotel industry...

Beautiful guesthouse, located close to the center, rooms are clean and modern. Rich breakfast which is outstanding for a guesthouse.The extremely friendly owner personally looks after the guests in the cozy breakfast room and, if desired, also provides ideas for planning the day or recommended excursion destinations/restaurants.The rooms are equipped with a kettle including tea and a small refrigerator. Drinks for the evening or night can be purchased at reasonable prices from a refrigerator on the first floor.In summary, a great guesthouse where you feel welcome and in good hands. Therefore 5 out of 5 stars

We spent our vacation at Haus Bettina during the fall break. There were 2 single rooms on different floors.The facilities were good and everything was very clean. The rooms are a bit noisy.We really enjoyed the breakfast. It was rich and everything was fresh.We got to know the owners (both) and were always treated kindly and kindly. We also received tips and suggestions for our stay from both of them.I would spend my vacation there again at any time.Thank you for the great time and also kind regards from my mother-in-law 😊

Not a hotel!!!! A place to feel good & 100% relaxation guaranteed. The breakfast service was top despite Corona. The offer to get drinks was also completely okay in terms of price-performance ratio. If there were any problems, they were solved immediately. If you had any questions there was always a friendly answer. A very quiet house to really relax. We would be happy to come back.
