Highly recommended, we will be back:We arrived very late due to traffic and were warmly welcomed.Quiet room with stylish furnishings, very clean. Breakfast with homemade jam and local products - definitely try the homemade muesli!Nothing to complain about, please keep it up :-)

Unfortunately we didn't feel comfortable here at all. I've been to many hotels and holiday apartments, but I've never experienced anything like this.Our dissatisfaction was due, on the one hand, to the enormous heat in the Bodenwald attic apartment (under the tin roof) without air conditioning. On the other hand, to the landlady, Ms. Richter.This started before arrival, when Ms. Richter suddenly wanted the birth dates of all family members (including the baby) one day before arrival, even though my details had already been available in full since I booked. I asked questions because it seemed a bit unnecessary. They said you need this to register. Without further explanation. I didn't want to argue, so I overcame myself and sent her everything.Then a new email: Now the ID numbers of everyone with foreign-sounding names. I'm sorry, what ? Again without explanation. That was too racist for me. I ignored the email. When you're stressed about packing, you can't use something like that just before your arrival anyway.She could have asked about this the week before or on site. The information then came casually that she wouldn't be there on the day of our arrival. Again without any additional information, especially regarding the check-in process. Great. Off on vacation. I had to drill again and then at least I knew how to get into the house.We finally arrived and Ms. Richter came to the apartment the next day and asked me for the ID numbers. She knew we had traffic jams and problems getting there. No warm welcome on your part, no introductory words, no information about the holiday apartment or a “if you need anything, please contact me”. Just the ID numbers. Apparently we were already downstairs with her.I gave her the numbers because, as it only now turned out, she needed them for the tourist tax. Then she wanted to charge us €42 for the tourist tax. However, in the offer the item for the tourist tax was empty. I love that kind of thing. I told her that I didn't think that was okay, as well as everything that had happened so far.She then suddenly started denouncing me as an unprecedentedly difficult guest (the pleasure is mine) and then told me about a personal crisis she is going through. And then I come, difficult guest.Shock. I told her that I was very sorry, but then she abruptly disappeared and left. I stood there as if struck by lightning and had to process what had happened.We feel terribly sorry for Ms. Richter's personal circumstances. That's why I waited a year to write this review. However, treating me like a criminal who would also burden her in her situation by not simply doing what Ms. Richter wanted from him was a bit cheap.Given your situation, we were calm, but we felt so terribly unwelcome and the overall situation was so damn unpleasant. We just wanted to have a nice vacation. Combined with the enormous heat in the apartment and the uncomfortable beds, it was really a nightmare. She had been avoiding us ever since we met and made us feel like we were counting the days until we left again.We have never felt so unwelcome.The main thing is that we pay, keep our mouths shut and leave quickly. But that's not how it works. Above all, my objections were justified. She's definitely in the wrong business. A cut flower sale might be more appropriate.Even if we were very sympathetic to her situation, she does not have the right to treat us like this and make us complicit in her difficult situation just because we ask questions and criticize the costs that were subsequently raised.In the end we at least paid for the accommodation, and not exactly little.She could have simply given us a piece of paper with information about the stay if personal care was limited due to circumstances. That would have been great too.

We stayed at the Bodanrück guesthouse quite spontaneously on our hike on the cross path from Freiburg to Konstanz. The guest house is furnished with great attention to detail and is located directly on the cross path. A great detail is the game collection, the terraces and the kitchen, which can be used together. The cold drinks and dishes (e.g. frozen pizza), which you could buy or cook there at cost price, were also great, perfect after a long hike! Clear recommendation, we felt very comfortable there.

We were Claudia's guests for the fourth time this summer.... for us it's always like coming "home"... we were back in our great, cozy and clean holiday apartment "Bodenwald", which was... It was prepared with a lot of love by Claudia, you can just feel good there.... The days go by far too quickly, but we are looking forward to seeing you again 🤗🤗🤗

I stayed with Ms. Richter in the Bodanrück guesthouse for three nights in July. I felt very comfortable and was able to slow down a lot in such a short time. The location of the house, the beautiful rooms, the great terraces, the delicious and rich breakfast were great. The friendliness, the calmness, the humor and the many good tips from Ms. Richter were good. I'll be back😀👍🙋

Rooms are good and clean, you can sit outside and drink a wine or something else! Breakfast could be a little better, rolls were hard and there were only 2 per person. Unfortunately there was no bread available for consumption!
