I was just here to eat.The building doesn't look very inviting from the outside, and it's right on a busy street. However, it was quiet in the restaurant, on the other side you have a direct view of the river.The waitress was very friendly and drinks came quickly.Since there was nothing going on in the restaurant, we had to wait a relatively long time for our food. The plaice was good, as was the fried fish. Unfortunately, the potato salad wasn't homemade, tasted okay, but not special. The same applies to the very liquid tartar sauce.All in all, the food was okay, but not great.

A wonderful and lovingly furnished hotel. 5 minutes walk from the train station. The rooms are clean, the staff is attentive and friendly. In the morning there is a rich breakfast buffet. Price-performance ratio is simply great! Short distances to the city. Almost in front of the door there is a pier where you can take a canal cruise. I was particularly impressed by the lovely furnishings of the hotel. In the breakfast room we almost had the impression that we were sitting in someone's living room. Thank you for the lovely time with you.

Booked 2 rooms for one night through Booking. Unfortunately, the double room we booked with soundproofing and wine and garden views turned out to be a single room (it felt like a storage room) under the roof. We were then given a room on the ground floor with a view of the street. We also looked for wine there in vain. We then agreed on another bottle of water since we don't drink alcohol. The bathroom had a 60's flair. Unfortunately there wasn't much to be seen in terms of cleanliness. The rusted sink drain and the missing plug prevented us from cleaning contact lenses.The second double room had many defects despite renovation. Of course, this also had no garden view/wine or even soundproofing.But we would still like to emphasize that the dinner was very tasty. The breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful.We were able to properly store our bikes in a shed provided for this purpose.So if you book via Booking, you should be careful.

Hotel where the ravages of time eat away. The rooms are nice and functionally furnished. Staff just great. They give everything for the guests. No problem, the dog was even allowed to come with us to breakfast. Always my pleasure.

This is my second time visiting Hoffmans Hotel and the beautiful town of Friedrichstadt. The food was incredibly delicious, especially the Pork Roasted. The room had a stunning view of the river. Highly recommended!

Cozy rooms with good facilities, however quite a lot of light came in from the hallway at night. We had to put a few bags in front of the door...Great surroundings with a view of the canal.Really delicious food 😋👌🏼So despite a slightly worn exterior, such a really cozy and lovely place 🤩

Unfortunately; we had heard so much good about Friedrichstadt, so we had to try it. We chose Risskov travel.However, the hotel does not correspond to the description at all.Dilapidation and lack of staff is overwhelming. Reception is not occupied, we had to wait, together with others, for half an hour to get the key. The room was so boring, almost ugly. The bed rock hard.The food: you could choose between 2 dishes, we chose fried vegetables. We got a small broccoli soup, followed by 2 small pieces of steak, canned peas/carrots, 1 potato with a little cloud sauce. Dessert: boiled currants and cherries which hid a small dollop of pudding.The floor outside our room creaked so noisily that an alarm clock was unnecessary.But the breakfast saved a little, it was quite ok. We were happy that we only booked for 2 nights. Risskov travels should probably revise their recommendations. 3 stars is way too much!We give Max 1 star and will not return

Good morningIt's almost unbelievable, very slow service.I had to go to the bar several times to order beer and it still took forever. The service passes you by but you are ignored.Sit for 20 minutes without a card without a drinkYesterday it wasn't that bad.The food is fine but the fried fish was very lame.Only 3 meals to choose from todayI definitely won't book here again...

In the restaurant you are only served as a hotel guest.There is an upscale menu hanging outside.After 15 minutes at the table we were turned away from the house. Friendliness nil.A notice in the entrance area would be recommendedAddendum: Why is the rating unfair?Missing sign at the entrance?The unfriendly request to leave?None of this has anything to do with authorities!!!

Great experience for me personally, it's actually a nice place. Yes, it's a bit old and worn, but that doesn't bother me. Because here we can relax completely and enjoy fantastically good service and food. We have benefited from being well received and the city is a fantastic experience 😀👍

We were only in the restaurant and not in the hotel.We came to dinner with a larger group and should communicate our meal wishes in advance. Various dishes were described as “vegan”, e.g. E.g. soups, tagliatelle or salad.On site, the salad was served with sheep's cheese and the tagliatelle with Parmesan, so in the end none of it was vegan. A new dish was brought to us, but either the entire first portion or just the cheese was thrown away, which could certainly have been avoided. The whole thing is always accompanied by doubts as to whether the other dishes, such as the soup, were vegan, because the addition of milk, for example, is not obvious at first glance.Unfortunately, the tagliatelle with “summer” (a simple tomato sauce) was completely soft and hardly edible. Unfortunately, a lot of it remains. The price-performance ratio is also not particularly good for a small portion of tagliatelle with a simple tomato sauce (+ 5-6 leaves of arugula). At least some crunchy, fresh vegetables would have been good for the dish for almost 15 euros.The spritzers were all expired but still edible. We drank them anyway so as not to waste any more food.At least the price was politely reduced by €4, which justifies an additional star for the service.Overall, the restaurant doesn't leave a good impression and I wouldn't eat here again.
