First of all, the fantastic location in the vineyards should be mentioned. It doesn't really get any nicer than that. Of course, this location also makes it wonderfully quiet.I had a double room for single occupancy and was thrilled as soon as I opened the door! Holiday from the first second! My room had a pretty little balcony with a fantastic view of Lake Constance! Exactly what I wanted from my last vacation to Lake Constance! And even better! I also found the room furnishings very tasteful, bright and friendly, the bathroom was completely fine, no trace of musty or anything like that!The breakfast rooms were very individual and also a little dreamy, all in all it looked like a small chalet. The garden belonging to the guesthouse has various small, dreamy corners with seating areas. For breakfast itself: a buffet that leaves nothing to be desired! And if so, these will be implemented and fulfilled if expressed by the guest!The daily interaction with the guest was extremely friendly! I had a friend from Switzerland visiting for one night, who was able to stay in the room and have breakfast with me without any problems! She was thrilled too!The city center of Meersburg with its old and new castle etc. can be reached in a very short time.The car ferry below the guesthouse can hardly be heard.As far as the clairaudience and the creaking floorboards are concerned, I didn't notice any of it. Sometimes this can also be due to the overnight guests themselves (not everyone is considerate towards others).If there was anything to complain about at all, it would be the parking. At the house you "have" to park very close to the person next to you, otherwise a space next to the guesthouse. However, this is also due to the location of the guesthouse and cannot be done any other way!For guests with limited mobility, the walk up to the guesthouse is probably quite difficult. But otherwise no one should have anything to complain about!Personally, I can only recommend the Landgasthaus Ödenstein with a clear conscience to every holidaymaker who doesn't want a big hotel!

You have to like it - old villa in a fantastic location but, as I said, old. Our room had a fantastic view but unfortunately that was the best part. The furniture was very special (old and new) but too unmodern for my taste and a bit musty but clean. The bathroom is old and the ambience is a bit too crusty and musty for me. It's a shame that there are unfortunately no better pictures of the rooms and especially the bathrooms on the internet. But if you're into something like that, you'll definitely find it romantic. Unfortunately it was very noisy and so we had to stop sleeping very early in the morning, especially since the wooden floorboards and the wooden stairs in the house were creaking badly. The garden or outdoor area is fantastic (unfortunately it had rained and we couldn't use what was really beautiful here)The breakfast was averagely good in a nice breakfast room and a nice view.The location was good - we were quickly in the center on foot. TheThe staff was really very friendly.

Landhaus Odenstein in Meersburg is a beautiful place to stay with lovely informative hosts. I highly recommend this place. The views of the lake are amazing and it is just a short walk into the historical areas of Meersburg. We have stayed several times at Landhaus Odenstein. Great place for a relaxing holiday.

Beautifully located above Lake Constance with a fantastic view. We had a very spacious room with a balcony right in the vineyard. You can quickly walk to Meersburg. Very nice old town, we felt very comfortable.

Once again we stayed at the Landhaus Ödenstein - this time it was two nights,As always, we enjoy its special location, the pretty rooms with a view of the lake, the good breakfast and - above all - the hospitality of Ms. Gumtow-Frey and her staff.We will be happy to stay at Landhaus Ödenstein again on our trips to the south - or back home:Depending on time constraints, more than one or two nights.

We were here at Easter 2023, we really enjoyed it. Everything was lovingly furnished. The rooms were very clean, they were cleaned quickly in the morning. The breakfast buffet was very tasty and beautifully served.

We had a great stay in this charming pension, nestled between the vineyards and the lake. Elegant room with wooden floors and 180 double bed... And a breathtaking view of the lake and the sunset!! The building has incredible charm! Breakfast served in the lounges or on the shaded terrace. A fridge is available if you wish to buy cold drinks. If we can, we will come back 😍

The quartermasters of this picturesque and historic accommodation exuded a pleasant family charm. The single room I rented was bright, clean and stylishly furnished. It was only surpassed by the large balcony with its view of Lake Constance towering over Ödenstein and the imperial oak tree majestically enthroned on it! The breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful, so that no requirement was left unaffected. And as far as the soul of the house is concerned, for me it lived in the mysterious creaking of the floorboards and steps that led expansively through the house...

Everything is perfect in this guesthouse. Nice rooms, we had one with a view of Lake Constance and could always watch the ferry. The breakfast buffet was very good and we didn't miss anything. The owners were friendly and helpful. Parking space available in front of the house. It took 15 minutes to get to the ferry landing stage and Meersburg center via the vineyards.
