Lake Constance Fish Weeks - eaten here for the first and certainly not last time. Very well-kept older house and ambience - rustic. The landlady responded to our wishes in a relaxed, funny, very friendly and competent manner and gave us good (but never intrusive) advice. Thanks for the best zander we have ever eaten, the salad was also very fresh and very well prepared. There was Pilsner Urquell on tap (rare!) and a great high-proof spritz with natural orange liqueur from Sentz, you'll never want to drink Aperol spritz again - just wow.

Food was good (Wiener Schnitzel was very good, fries were in the fat for too long), I would like to have had more courage with the seasoning. It's more aimed at the palate of the older generation.

Best home-style restaurant in Konstanz. A little away from the hustle and bustle, owner-managed and with local ingredients and wines. Great cuisine with classics such as onion roasts and homemade vegetarian dishes.

We recently had dinner at Wallgut with a couple we were friends with. The reservation (which was necessary due to space) worked out for our desired date, the eloquent but never intrusive boss greeted us warmly and accompanied us to the table. After a few minutes we studied the cards, found out what the kitchen also serves seasonally (for example matjes), ordering drinks with a little advice was seen as a nice chat and - Simsalabim - we were provided with our selection.Thankfully, the manageable menu is based on Baden and international home-style dishes, which are credibly prepared with regional products. At our table we decided on Kässpätzle, pork cordon bleu with fried potatoes, veal Wiener schnitzel with fries and - with a little hesitation - a Gaisburger March, which the writer has not been served for as long as he can remember. As an appetizer for meat eaters, a small salad or a flatbread soup and the boss – Sylva – intervened in her heartwarmingly direct way. So: first Flädlesuppe and then Gaisburger Marsch, that would be double! She promised to add a few strips of Flädle to the Gaisburger and the topic was ticked off!Perfectly timed and incredibly relaxed, we then enjoyed our excellent dishes, solid craftsmanship in the truest sense of the word. The Gaisburger Marsch in particular far exceeded my expectations, so perfectly balanced and flavored, as if my mom had been standing at the stove again - and with a good portion of Flädle in it. Hats off, the boss has the kitchen more than under control here.Thank you very much, Sylva and Markus, for an enjoyable, carefree evening. We will be happy to recommend your traditional house and we will try to find a place with you again when the opportunity arises.

Went here for a family get together, the places were booked for the event and we had a pre set dinner (salad and maltachen dish). Service was great and it reminded me of a Berlin kneipe (without the smoke). My son had the crème brûlée for a dessert and it was served super quick. If we go back to Konstanz I would like to try their schnitzel since it is made properly with veal. Def recommend!!

Wonderful. Please never change anything. The roast is a memory, the roulades are delicious. The recommended wine was great and the boss was very friendly, humorous and attentive. A traditional restaurant, of which there aren't too many anymore. Simply beautiful and delicious.
