I was also in the youth hostel and can't confirm that. I can confirm that from the other reviews. I personally liked it. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is very consistent. You can't pay a little and expect a lot. The view was very nice, of course in some rooms more than others, but that's the case in every hotel. The food is sufficient and could be made up for, just not huge portions to make up for. I've always gotten nice answers, so I can't confirm this. On the subject of fire alarms, there was one because someone was smoking, so that's enough. A youth hostel may not open if this does not comply with the regulations. Only the mattresses were very soft. This is the only thing I had to complain about. This was definitely age-appropriate for those over 12 years old. When it comes to beds, you shouldn't be over 1.80 meters or 1.90 meters tall. But with the single beds you can stretch out well and are also better suited for taller people. You should also keep in mind that no 12 graders go there because they go to the big city, but if you like nature, this is the right place for you. The outdoor area is very nice and so is the sports room. So there was no boredom during my free time. I always say top for the price! Even if one isn't enough, there is a kiosk that's priced right. Keep it up.

I visited the youth hostel as part of a school trip and was extremely disappointed.One of the biggest weaknesses can be found in the catering of the guests. Breakfast is almost the same as dinner and lunch consists of small portions of partially preserved dishes. There is no possibility of receiving a second portion. The quantities of the other meals are also far too small and the quality is below the norm.The service from the employees also largely leaves a lot to be desired. If you have any questions or requests, you will be rejected in an unfriendly manner and you generally don't have the feeling that you are wanted. However, I can praise A.Bauer and the organizer of the biathlon shooting. In my opinion, the only ones who have taken care of us with effort and joy are those.Another drawback is the fire protection. There are no smoke detectors in the toilets and shower rooms. I consider this situation to be extremely dangerous in the event of a fire.The rooms are debatable. You will find what you would expect in a youth hostel. The equipment consists of bunk beds, a small cupboard and a table. However, the beds could be a problem, especially for people over 1.80 m, as their length does not exceed this value.I find the activities offered and the area suitable for lower grades, but not for children and young people over 12.The promised “beautiful view” is there. You can clearly see the Göltzschtal Bridge from some rooms and the dining room.Finally, I would recommend the youth hostel to lower grades, as well as people with extremely low expectations.Below is a picture of the dessert to illustrate the portion sizes.

The home is in a really quiet place and you have a great view of the Gölschtalbrücke. There is also a playground and table tennis tables. And when the weather is nice, you can grill behind the house as there is a large grill with seating. There is also a fireplace for a nice campfire.

We have been traveling as a larger group to several facilities throughout Germany for almost 20 years. Holiday resorts in the middle of the republic are preferred, so that the journey is pleasant and bearable for everyone. We have been going to Netzschkau for a few years now, after previous facilities were no longer available due to the 2015 wave of refugees.Netzschkau has one of the few facilities that have been repeatedly modernized in recent years and will continue to be so. This means that fire protection and security are kept up to date, although unfortunately parking options have been severely restricted to the frustration of some participants. There are modern beds including sockets, which is certainly indispensable for modern generations. By the way, WiFi is also available.The entire facility is kept very clean and leaves a well-kept impression. In the space around the house there is modern sports and play equipment without any defects, there is a large grill and a campfire site.The new pricing makes it easier and clearer for groups to book the entire house, although you have to decide in advance whether you want to be self-catering or whether you want to use the kitchen's offerings - mixed operation is no longer possible for hygiene reasons.I would describe the location of the entire complex above the town of Netzschkau as very pleasantly quiet. Every now and then hikers got lost on the site. You have a great view over the wide region to the Gölzschtal Bridge, which you can easily reach on foot in a pleasant amount of time. Otherwise, cities like Greiz, Gera, but also Dresden, Chemnitz and Leipzig can be reached by car in a reasonable amount of time.

The country school home has a nice location but unfortunately there was no internet. Also, the GPS tour was very confusing and the rooms weren't that great either. There were dead mosquitoes on the walls. The bathroom is very modern. Unfortunately, dinner was always the same as breakfast. Lunch was quality-wise, the best and the only thing that changed. The staff themselves were sometimes friendly and sometimes unfriendly. All in all, the country school home has a nice location, but the rest still needs work.
