Location was great. Very charming and a better stay than most places I’ve been to in Europe. Breakfast was great and the rooms were clean.

We’ve stayed here for two weeks - the rooms are fairly nice, especially for their price, but unfortunately the cleaning was limited to taking out the trash - the floor wasn’t swept even once for thee entirety of our stay. The breakfast that was served was a bit of the same type and didn’t have vegetarian or lactose intolerant options, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The owners are the nicest people and were interested in accomodating us to the best of their ability. The location is convenient, but the bells of the nearby cathedral would get too loud sometimes. Yet overall I think it’s a nice option if you are going to be away most of the time and value low budget comfort.

At the simplest end of the comfort scale, but definitely higher in terms of friendliness and helpfulness, and well located. Quite noisy.

We stayed there as a couple for 3 nights. When I asked by phone about booking 5 weeks in advance, I specifically requested a room at the back because I knew the location and city. The nice lady explained to me that they don't have any rooms facing the street, these are other rooms.OK. I relied on it.But upon entering the room I was disappointed. With the windows tilted facing the main street, it's impossible to sleep because of the traffic at night. So close!According to the escape and occupancy plan, there are double rooms ONLY facing the main street. The nice hostess must not have understood my request or confused something...But the lady was still very, very nice. Was always helpful and really “Upper Palatinate warm”!She laughs and tries very hard to make the guest happy. The rooms are very old and are very small as double rooms.Bathroom from around the 60s and 70s, but everything was very clean! If you know the background to the current condition of the hotel, you will understand that! The breakfast was adequate for our needs. The nice landlady makes the breakfast eggs as you like, fresh from the kitchen. However, you should not add any salt or seasoning to them; each guest should do so according to their own taste.Sometimes too much salt for me...we eat very low salt.Price for room including breakfast ok.If you're looking for something simple and friendly, you've come to the right place. She really enjoys doing it all. However, if you want a night's sleep and are not used to night traffic, look for something else...
