In itself a good hotel with a lot of room for improvement.Large, clean rooms with parquet floors, but furnished quite uncomfortably to our taste.Four of us stayed overnight and found the mattresses far too soft and too thin, and the pillows - uncomfortable. We barely slept for 3 nights!I had a kettle, but only 2 peppermint teas for 3 nights, which were not refilled.Modern, beautiful bathrooms, but no shower gel in the shower, just liquid kitchen soap (!) at the sink. The facial tissues were almost used up upon entry and were not refilled.We were very pleased with the very good breakfast, delicious sausage, cheese, salmon, etc. We would have only been happy with a more or better selection of fruit and sweets.We woke up at 6am on the last day to loud noises that got even worse. I don't know if they came from the hotel, the butcher shop or the surrounding area, but they were absolutely unbearable, not even earplugs could help. That's what last night was like - the worst of all.Unfortunately the hotel wasn't for us at all in terms of sleep, hence only 2 stars. We were on a business trip, so a good rest was our top priority!The staff is very nice and helpful.The location is basically on the street with a view of the old barn with a large advertising sign.

Unfortunately it is not possible to eat a la carte in the hotel/restaurant!!! When asked by the staff, they said dinner was only available for house guests. Sad because we have been vacationing here for many years, even if we didn't check into the hotel we didn't get any food.

The rooms themselves are very nice, with a refrigerator that wasn't plugged in. It is extremely loud, the room was right at the intersection where cars drove all night long, a dog in the neighborhood commented on this loudly and persistently. Sleeping like that wasn't restful. The first thing we heard in the breakfast room was the unfriendly "breakfast from 8 a.m." (it was 10 minutes before 8 a.m.) from the landlady. You already have enough. The landlord was really nice, friendly, polite and tried very hard, which you can't say about the woman.Breakfast was okay.

A dream! Great inn, very friendly, pleasant and always helpful innkeepers. Very nice, large and newly renovated rooms. Great breakfast, great menu and high-quality and very tasty dishes. We even got a bicycle cellar. The only downer is that the inn itself is not always open. Nevertheless, the Bavarian Forest at its best. A must if you are on holiday here!

Super nice hosts. Steak from the Grandma cow and the dry aged steak, simply awesome. Absolute recommendation. We'd love to come back again. Oh yes, not to forget, the breakfast was great too.

We spent one night in the Hotel zur alten Post. The positive aspects were the nice, large room and the breakfast was also good. It was fine for one night, otherwise very loud, room on the street side, inn is at an intersection.We chose the inn because of its own butcher shop.Unfortunately the inn was closed on Saturdays and weekends, there was no dinner, this should actually be visible on the homepage.We were lucky and got a free table at a guesthouse in Zandt. Since we arrived by motorbike, we didn't want to drive around any further in the evening.

A good butcher shop-inn-hotel. Beautiful, modern rooms, nice restaurant with very good, typical butcher's restaurant cuisine. The location is not particularly good - right at the intersection of the busy thoroughfare in Zandt. Therefore it is very loud and the exhaust gases are clearly tolerable.

The inn is a traditional inn! The food is highly recommended!! The prices are acceptable! Only today the worm was probably in there! The service was a bit overwhelmed! I guess that won't always be the case. Otherwise everything was fine!!!
