It was a very nice stay at the Landhotel Rappenhof.The owners are super friendly and very accommodating. The food was bombastic. Very satisfied with everything overall.We'll definitely come back again.

We were there from August 4th. - August 9th, 2024 at the Landhotel Rappenhof.We felt very comfortable and in good hands there right from the start.This was also due to the friendly and very helpful host couple and little Johanna. The food is really great, I can only recommend it.The rooms are large and clean.If we can, we will book again.

Unfortunately we only stayed at the Rappenhof for 5 nights, we felt very comfortable and well looked after right from the start. The host couple and little Johanna are very nice and fulfill every wish. The food is a poem. The hotel is located in a quiet area, you can really unwind.

We were passing through from Bayreuth to Passau via the B 22 etc. Here we found this quiet and attractive place via the camper App.location Rappendorf Gasthof Rappenhof where we can spend the night on a green field strip on a main, quiet road! (you don't hear anything here at night) you can take water at the fountain and electricity is also available. Very hospitable and you can also eat there, I even reserved sandwiches there, really nice.

Admittedly, the furnishings are a bit outdated and may not be to everyone's taste (which is really reasonable for a 3-star hotel). The hotel is perfectly located if you are looking for peace and quiet - or if you want to go hiking in the forest next door. Very family friendly, there are also ponies and cows to admire.But the absolute highlight for me is the food! Rich buffet for breakfast, eggs fried upon request, homemade sausage specialties and jams. In the evening 3 dishes to choose from, plus soup, plus dessert, everything homemade, even the mayonnaise! For children there is either a smaller portion or perhaps an extra dish (talking helps!). As a pretty picky eater, I have to say that I enjoyed the Schubeck student's meal better than the Schubeck itself!

The rooms were clean and neatly prepared. Powerful hairdryer and safe were available. There was a delicious buffet for breakfast. In the evening there was starter soup, 1 of 3 main courses and dessert. Special requests for the children were carefully addressed.The hotel is in a very beautiful and quiet location, you can reach your excursion destinations by car within 15-30 minutes.

We had dinner here with 11 people. The menu is very small and there is nothing for children. The dishes themselves are not worth talking about. Bacon beans without bacon, fried potatoes not fried but deep fried without onions without bacon. And the meat was dry. The ambience wasn't nice either. A very musty smell in the restaurant. This was the worst restaurant visit of our vacation. Price/performance is not right.

The hotel is really in need of renovation. Absolutely noisy, we heard every step from above. Endless mosquitoes! Dinner is good, except for dessert and breakfast.

We have been vacationing in the Bavarian Forest for over 40 years.And every time a meal at the Rappenhof is on the agenda.It's one of those old, characteristic hotels with a huge dining area on the ground floor and guest rooms above.The Rappenhof is in a quiet location despite convenient connections.I love the rustic spaces and furniture in the dining room. The new extension, however, doesn't really suit my taste.On the evening of our visit we sat at the regulars' table. There is also a portrait of the owner, who has unfortunately now passed away.Unfortunately the menu was somewhat limited that evening due to a lack of staff. But each of us (5 people) found something he/she wanted to do.The food came to the table beautifully prepared. It was very tasty and everyone was full.The prices for food and drinks were also absolutely reasonable.I can really recommend the Rappenhof and am already looking forward to the next visit.
