We stayed there for two nights with a voucher. The room (standard double) was simple and clean. However, it is only sufficient for overnight stays. The service was friendly. A free parking space was available to us. Various restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The in-house restaurant is highly recommended. The hotel offers a good starting point for hikes.

Booked 4 nights using a voucher campaign, had to pay an upgrade for a superior room on the 1st floor plus an overpriced price for additional nights. On arrival you have to pay the additional costs directly in order to get a 13 sqm small, very old and very simple room with a balcony in the additional house (400 m away). When complaining to the boss, she reacted very rudely and unfriendly. To say the least, the reaction was a complete impudence and there was no insight or admission of guilt on her part. The additional costs paid for the upgrade (which was not available) were not reimbursed. After several conversations with other guests and reading through the review, this seems to be common in the house. A disgrace for our entire industry. Dear guests, avoid this house if possible.

We stayed at the Rösslwirt for 4 days as a small family (3 people). On the positive side: It is a very nice hotel from the outside and inside. The dining room may be a bit small, but we still found it cozy. In the evenings we were usually sat at the table with strangers, but that didn't bother us much. Our two-year-old was able to play with new people. We realize that with a small child we have a few extra requests (high chair for eating, small fork and spoon, etc.) and the staff always fulfilled these very quickly and friendly. I would also like to highlight the staff once again - they were super friendly (also difficult to understand for a Saxon because of the accent) and fulfilled our requests very quickly. Early on I was asked if I wanted coffee and in the evening the service was also very quick. What really surprised me in the evening was that the food was brought out very quickly (sometimes we only had to wait 5 minutes for our food) - and it was definitely not frozen food. Since some have spoken badly about the staff in their reviews - I guess, as it resonates into the forest, it also resonates out ;-).We had to pay for our room upon arrival - I don't think that's a bad thing at all, because what does it matter whether I pay before or after - you have to pay anyway? :D I prefer to pay by card (Visa) - the hotel is still having a bit of a hard time with that - but I would only rate this point negatively after 2030 (Germany is a little slower when it comes to finances and things like that ^^) - there are also There are several different banking institutions in Lam where you can withdraw cash.So now to the negative points, for which I also deducted a star:We had room 14 upstairs on the second floor. It's a small room with a small bathroom (which isn't a bad thing) - but you can only close the bathroom with a sliding glass door. This glass door is very translucent (the bed is next to the door), does not dampen bathroom noises and does not keep out any odors (even if the ventilation starts immediately). I didn't dare go out at night so as not to wake up my family (the toilet flush is also very loud and not using it to go to the toilet just wasn't an option for me) - also when I do go to the toilet at night , I had to go in with a cell phone flashlight because the small bathroom light was just too bright. The sliding door is also very loud at night. The walls are also very noisy and I also knew when my neighbor was in the toilet and what he was doing (even if I didn't want to know).Would I go to the Rösslwirt again? Clear answer: yes! (if the bathroom situation is better).See you next time!P.S. On a rainy day, the room folder (with tips for excursions from the area) saved the day for us - however, some attractions are no longer completely up to date - so perhaps a revision would make sense.

I'm only reviewing today's food in the beer garden; I can't say anything about the hotel's operation.We spent three days (and evenings) in Lam and ate dinner in restaurants here every day - and our last evening here was by far the best (with the best food!)We had Grill Pfandl OX (rump steak, pork fillet & chicken breast with herb butter, two dips, grilled vegetables & fries - gigantic delicious!) and were completely thrilled by the wonderful food, the very good price/performance ratio and the extremely friendly & courteous service! We would love to come back here!

The hotel is "quite ok". We stayed with half board in the holiday home, which is about 200m from the main house. So you had to walk a short distance for breakfast and dinner, which wasn't so pleasant when it was raining heavily. The room itself was fine, a bit old here and there and the bathroom was only about 1.5m². Otherwise nothing was missing.The staff was mostly very friendly and the food was delicious and fresh. The only drawback, as already described here, is that you have to share the table with two other unfamiliar parties. Unfortunately, the dining room is a bit too small for the number of guests.

We were there with a voucher. If you stick to the instructions, it works well. The upgrade and taking our dog with us were also no problem.The room on the second floor was clean and large enough for us. Large bathroom.Breakfast was okay, it's a shame that you only get scrambled eggs for a fee.We were also surprised that you had to pay upon arrival.You have to know in advance that it is on the main road from Lam. As a rule, however, this doesn't cause much difficulty. Dinner delicious and rich.The staff in the breakfast room was nice, but overall we were missing a bit of the warmth we are used to in Bavaria.Parking spaces just under 150 m away but no problem.Overall, a great starting point for all kinds of excursions.
