A beautiful corner of the world for nature lovers, absolutely quiet in autumn. An ugly electricity pylon looks away from the second day. Small kiosk, delicious rolls on pre-order. Beautiful hiking trails.

The children's room is very narrow. There are few kitchen appliances, but with creativity everything works out. Cozy and cleanly furnished. The house was heated quickly. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

We have been coming here since 2014 and use either a bungalow or a holiday home. Located in the middle of the forest and yet you can reach the next town in 10 minutes. Many hiking trails lead through the beautiful Thuringian Forest. The campsite has its own special charm and there are many events throughout the year that are lovingly organized. Particularly suitable for children and dogs.

Revision from October 4th, 2024.After the operators have changed, we have to draw a new conclusion.Unfortunately, the bungalows have developed from a beautiful and good condition to moderate to poor in recent years:- lack of care in the outdoor area, paint peeling off, gutters leaking and unkempt, roofs defective, outdoor area unkempt,- Interior: you get the impression that everything that breaks is simply removed (bathroom mats, kitchen aids, to name just a few things), there were once salt and pepper shakers, filter bags, clever cutlery and crockery, everything except for crockery was rationalized away) And that's okay, the bungalows were once lovingly furnished, but are now spartan and in need of repair, doors that don't close well, doors and windows that leak, there doesn't seem to be any plans to renovate the bungalows, furniture is worn out, rooms are worn out (okay, the bathrooms are quite good), defects Radiators, kitchen units and contents at least 15 years old! We have the feeling that nothing is being renovated or maintained here, just collecting money and that's it. Just sad.All in all, it's a shame what has become of this gem. We're definitely not coming back! NO RECOMMENDATION!Last but not least, you have to assess the service. Due to the fact that the employee at the reception put in a lot of effort and was very friendly and patient, we deducted 3 stars for the unfriendliness and condescending manner of the boss!As always, nature is simply beautiful! My recommendation for hiking!

Very nice clean place. Friendly staff. There is also a good WiFi signal at our place (S12). Good starting point for hikes. We felt comfortable. There is also a bread roll service.

Very friendly and uncomplicated. Questions were happily answered and tips for excursions and restaurants in the area. Very nice for spontaneous campers, enough space and, above all, freedom of choice! Very, very idyllic location on the edge of the forest and a small stream. Also great for just getting some real peace and quiet!

One of the most beautiful campsites I have ever experienced. Beautifully located. Nice operator. Nice kiosk with nice seating. Sanitary facilities sparkling clean. Lake on site and pub facility available.
