The reception in the main building was very warm and friendly - this is how you imagine a well-trained porter. After receiving the keys, we walked to the Saarland house, although the few meters more - after the route from Brotterode - didn't make any difference.The building looks a bit difficult to get used to from the outside and the wooden entrance door, marked with a large R for Rennsteig, can certainly evoke "fantasies". From the inside, however, the rooms are very spacious and the bed and shower are very tidy. The accommodation is therefore ideal for a few days in Oberhof or as a stopover for the Rennsteig hike. The breakfast is very solid and there was no lack of choice - the service staff was also very friendly.Therefore, you shouldn't be fooled by the outside and Haus Saarland offers a good opportunity to stay comfortably overnight at a fair price.

We had booked for one night. When we got to the house, I had the feeling that the guesthouse had closed. Didn't look good from the outside. But then we got the key to the room. Room was fine. However, the shower didn't close properly and there was no shower mat in the shower. If you weren't careful, you could slip.

A guesthouse with unusually large rooms, located almost in the center of Oberhof.As a long-term travel group, we were very satisfied. A big thank you to Ms. Rösch, who conjured up a very tasty breakfast and was always friendly and always gave us tips.

Room 5 had not been cleaned under the double bed for a very long time. A sweater could be knitted from the material. After I reported the complaint, only one side of the bed was cleaned. Too bizarre for words. The bed was also not made and no clean towels. Old-fashioned decor and building looks tatty from the outside.

We (4 hikers from the Rhineland) were warmly welcomed. The spacious rooms and the breakfast met our expectations. In my opinion, the guesthouse is recommended.

The house is already getting old. But the rooms are nicely renovated and clean. It's pretty centrally located in a quiet area. The breakfast is sufficient and therefore the price-performance ratio is ok.

Breakfast and friendliness of the staff, as well as the cleanliness were good. Unfortunately, everything about the house and room 3 is just below average. For grandma and grandson it was just about satisfactory.

Kitchen close att 20.30 and at 21.00 all guests must leave the restaurant, after 21, there is no service, nothing to drink or eat. Guests that arrive late can try to find something in the village, but also most places there are closed after 21

After our hike from Hörschel to Blankenstein, we looked for accommodation in Oberhof. Due to our late arrival, we were still able to check into the guesthouse via keybox.To our surprise, our room was very large with a spacious bathroom including a bathtub 👌👌👌The next day we were treated to a rich and extensive breakfast, you couldn't eat that much!We started back stronger and can only warmly recommend it!Dogs are also allowed 🐶👌There was no sign of the bad recessions at all!
