Nice old inn. Enjoy your meal.A bit old for my taste, but it has its charm.Accessibility is very tricky because it is essentially in a small town in the middle of the Thuringian Forest.

We visited the dark restaurant. A great experience and thanks to Berit, who served us in a friendly and open manner, it was a great evening that we look back on fondly. A completely new experience that you have to have.Unfortunately, the reception in the restaurant and the contact on the phone in advance were anything but friendly. Rough, short, you had the feeling of being a nuisance. We can work on that, because you felt rather unwelcome.

Yesterday at the end of the season we were guests of Thomas and his team in the green tree with the motorcycles.The hotel is ideal for exploring the beautiful Thuringian Forest on the go. There are numerous great tour suggestions for those outside the area. There is even a Roadbrook.You can tell right away that Thomas is a die-hard biker himself. Everything has been thought of for two-wheeled guests. Completed storage facility. Drying room and the possibility of charging the helmet with intercom. Top service 😃The rooms are extremely clean, modern and comfortably designed.Dinner was great. Thuringian dumplings with roulade and red cabbage. Schnitzel, fish... Everyone can find something to their taste here.The breakfast also left nothing to be desired.To all bikers: a clear recommendation.Thank you for the hospitality. We would love to come back 😚

We had a very nice and pleasant stay. Nothing was missing. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food tasted very good. We can only recommend it. We'll definitely come back.Thanks again for everything.

We stayed there overnight on a hiking holiday and were completely satisfied. Everything was very clean, the rooms were nicely furnished, a nice welcome and courteous service, and nothing was missing at breakfast either.

We had very nice days in this hotel. Very lovingly furnished and very clean. Rooms are in top condition and cleaned daily. The breakfast seems a bit meager at first glance. However, there is enough of everything that tastes good and is constantly refilled. We also enjoyed the new Oberhof Eulen+ All Inclusive. to get card. We made extreme use of it and visited tons of caves and castles, from the thermal baths to the boat trip, for an additional €0. This new concept of the map is also incredibly well done and it was just fantastic there. Dear Grüner Baum team, thank you very much for the wonderful days with you and I will definitely recommend you.

We were here to visit the dark restaurant. The welcome was, similar to what other visitors describe, cold - and not just because of the room.The owner has a commanding tone that makes it impossible to feel comfortable within the first five minutes.What saved the evening was the counter-program in the basement: accompanied by the warm Berit, we felt lifted and carried through the evening. Thank you very much for that!Still, there remains an inconsistent feeling.Is it so difficult to welcome guests in a friendly manner? It could be so beautiful. Too bad.

We had dinner in the dark and had a really nice evening. The waiter was very friendly and made you feel very comfortable. 😊Only the "welcome" from the landlady when you arrived was very cold and it wasn't really explained to you what to expect.

Unfortunately, for health reasons, we were unable to redeem the gift voucher for the dark restaurant.As a courtesy from the restaurant, we had an excellent dinner. Thank you very much for the very good food and hospitality. Always my pleasure.

As luck would have it, we were looking for an overnight stay in the Suhl area on the return journey from the Czech Republic to the Ruhr area and found this hotel. The reviews, the photos, the garage for motorcycles and the sign “Tourenfahrer Partnerhaus” were the reason for a spontaneous telephone booking for a room for 1 night.Everything worked really easily. Very nice hosts in a nice environment, delicious food, interesting conversation, very good breakfast. Room fully equipped for motorcyclists, hikers and bikers with a shoe dryer on the 1st floor.It's a shame that this house (so far) only has 10 rooms (unfortunately not suitable for our larger groups), but we will certainly see each other again. “Regular customers” of US often come to your place ;-) It was very nice with you.Sending you many greetings from the Ruhr areaPetra(Pegasus motorcycle trips)

We met a really cool owner and host.Motorcycles are very welcome.There are tools if things get stuck, tips for tours for free, and very important. The hotel is a member of the Thuringian Forest Card. This gives you free access to many museums and institutions that you are a member of.Really great for families.The rooms are great and the restaurant invites you to stay.You'll be happy to come back there.

Perfect for us, it couldn't be better! There were three of us on our motorbikes in the green tree and we were welcomed very warmly and with great service. Motorcycle garage with hangers for clothes, helmet rack with charging socket for the communication systems. The same applies to cyclists and hikers.Plus delicious beer from a regional brewery and very good food, cooked by the chef. Rooms great and sparkling clean and an appealing atmosphere throughout the house and in the beer garden.Simply great!

We had booked a dark meal there today. But we didn't let a few very cheeky and very arrogant pensioners spoil our evening. Everything was really completely dark. The visually impaired waiter was more than friendly and accommodating and knew how to do his job more than happily. It was a really great experience and would be recommended to everyone. The food was super delicious and the whole service was more than what you could expect right from the start. can wish for. It was a very nice evening and, as already mentioned, the service was more than top. Keep it up, we only recommend you positively and will definitely come back. Thanks again.

The dark restaurant/the Fuchbau are an absolute highlight for this region. It was a very special experience for us. A big thank you goes out to Volker, who goes to great lengths to look after the guests, caters to their every need and always has an exciting story in store!! The only point of criticism was the reception at the counter, where you didn't feel quite as "welcome". But the 3 hours in the Fuchsbau made up for that. We'll definitely be back!!!

I arrived by motorbike. When I arrived I was immediately directed to the garage, where there was not only a parking space but also the possibility to leave a helmet and jacket. I've never seen anything like that before. A welcome beer was also offered.The room was modern and quiet, so also great.The meal in the restaurant rounded off the day perfectly. The breakfast was also great.Then back on the great roads of the Thuringian Forest with little traffic.
