Stuck sometime in the 80s. A bit unkempt and loveless.

The room didn't match the price. Bed was OK and the room was clean, but everything needed a lot of renovation work. And at the end of September you have to like no heating. The staff was friendly, but hardly felt present. For the price, expectations are simply higher.

We only had dinner there, Greek cuisine. We had gyros with fries, tzatziki and a side salad. You could put together your own side salad, the selection was limited and the coleslaw was very sour. The gyros & fries were okay. The tzatziki also tasted very sour. But the atmosphere was great and very close to the water :-)

The two of us stayed at the Hotel Deichläufer for 10 days. The stay fell far short of our expectations and was a constant nuisance during our vacation. The only positive thing is the central location. Otherwise, the hotel does not even meet minimum standards in terms of service and cleanliness. No one on site feels responsible for the hotel guests and the restaurant employees refer them to the landlord, who can only be reached by telephone. Our complaint regarding the lack of cleanliness and the lack of room service was not responded to - as promised by the operator. One room smelled musty and spiders were our constant companions. There was black mold in the shower and poorly functioning fittings. The rooms were not cleaned regularly and towels were often only available upon request. The carpet in the public areas dates back to the turn of the century and apparently hasn't been cleaned since then. The rooms were only accessible via a narrow spiral staircase and the banister was sticky. The breakfast was very manageable - baked rolls and filter coffee - and offered no variety. All in all, a very unsatisfactory stay.

Friendly staff, good location, but the room was full of dog hair, one of three beds was made up and the other two weren't, there were no towels, the drains smelled extremely, the toilet lid fell into your back and there was no warm water in the morning.Definitely not again. The restaurant is even more recommended.

Employees very disrespectful. Considering it's a 4 star hotel, the breakfast was very little. Unfortunately it is very loud in the evenings and my children couldn't sleep, it was pure hell downstairs and you can hear loud music coming from downstairs.Unfortunately it only deserves one star.

Unfortunately we didn't like the hotel at all, so we don't have any recommendations for it.The criticism is definitely not about the outdated rooms, but rather the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the hotel that we were offered.Unfortunately, the hotel is not barrier-free, the only way up to the rooms is via stairs.Only the location is worth highlighting.
