Catastrophic conditions, zero empathy or sense of responsibility. I booked the hotel despite the bad reviews due to a lack of alternatives. The rooms are getting old, there was dust everywhere on the floor. The Oberhammer: no warm water! After calling reception I was told that there was probably nothing they could do about it. The municipal utilities are doing something to the lines. A total of 3 days without hot water and I had no warning whatsoever! At the reception I met other guests who complained about the cold water. There is a very loud construction site in front of the window that regularly wakes you up in the morning and the elevator doesn't work properly either (floors 2 and 5 broken).I ask you: just don't spend the night here!!

The WiFi cut out all the time. No air conditioning in the room. TV did not work. The drain in the shower was clogged up. There were dead pigeons on the balcony. The staff were rude. There was no car park and we had to pay 40 euros for two days worth of parking and on top of that we got a fine for parking somewhere we shouldn't have.P.S. Tthe drains smelt really bad.

Overall, value for money is good. Yes, the rooms are all a bit worn out and the hotel is not in the best condition. However, you can't expect more for €50 per night in a central location.Positive: - very large room and bathroom with shower + bathtub - large adjustable TV, good soundproofing of the windows, bright, super central, nice staffNegative: Construction site right in front of the door and a lot of street noise (only audible when the windows are open), air conditioning very loud, WiFi doesn't always work, overall unfortunately very old and not in the best condition (elevator broken, limescale, etc.)

It was clever years ago... today it's just an imposition... it's probably the best decision that the Bums will soon be closed... just a straight 6!

Do not book this place, you're probably better off sleeping on the street. By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.This was supposed to be a nice getaway to a conference as a thank you for my employee. It all started when we arrived in the evening to find out they had accepted too many bookings. I had booked 2 rooms, one for my employee and one for myself. The staff could not do anything until the manager was supposed to arrive the next day at 8 o'clock. The staff indicated that 1 of the 2 rooms would be refunded. Booking.com also was not able to provide any help and we were forced to share the room (or sleep on the street). The next day at 8 we arrive at the front desk to speak to the manager to find out he was not at the hotel and the front desk acted very surprised. He would come in later perhaps. At this point we ask about where the breakfast is served that was advertised both at the time when we booked as well as on the pamflet next to the beds. The staff was very surprised that we asked about breakfast at all and that they haven't been serving breakfast for several months. We are directed to some local bakeries that were able to serve us some sustenance before going to the conference. Upon coming back to check-in if the manager has arrived another guest asks about where the breakfast room is and to our surprise the exact same reaction is acted in front of us (literally to the exact word and facial expression, as if following a script). This guest too mentioned that the breakfast was advertised next to the bed. We also lost all faith that the manager would show his face at this point. The frontdesk was informed on our situation however and the proposed solution was as follows; 3 new guests would be arriving that day and if one of them would not show we would get that room. They could inform us latest at 23:00 if we would receive the room that we booked. I indicated that this is not an acceptable solution at all and that I at the very least expect a backup plan in case all 3 guests do show up. The eventual backup plan was a room in a hotel that was over 30 minutes of a car ride from the original location. I have spend months with booking.com customer service to get the money back. Eventually had to request a chargeback on the creditcard. Let's see what happens from here.

Absolutely below the belt!!!! Dirty, dusty, outrageous! Booking advertises with completely wrong pictures, that's a disgrace!!!! The stairwell is completely full of dust, there is dirt on every step. We looked at different rooms. In one bathroom there was still a lot of hair around the sink, the other bathroom had a full bathtub. The air conditioning is not working in the entire house!!! We helped ourselves with two fans in the room. Unfortunately it can only be used to a limited extent as there is a disco in the alley under the window. The unfriendly person at the reception wasn't willing to fix anything! His comment: "I'm here for the reception and not to clean, the housekeeping is already off work!" (at 3 p.m.!!!!) "The hotel will be closed in the fall, nothing will be done here anymore."And they charge a lot of money for that! In fact, nothing is being invested here anymore! The terrace, which is so beautifully presented on Booking, is absolutely dirty with pigeon droppings! Abnormal and certainly not in the spirit of the trade office!ZERO STARS

From August 3rd to 4th, double room, 2 people, room 41I can't confirm or understand the bad reviews in any way.Room:They are clean, the interior is well-maintained and fully in line with the price/performance ratio - I don't see the 4-star rating as a problem. The non-functioning air conditioning is bridged with a fan, which is completely sufficient for me. I thought the shower was great.Location: Very central, with some interesting points around, just a stone's throw away.Service:The lady at the reception is extremely friendly, courteous and helpful.Half an hour after our departure I was informed that I had forgotten my smartphone...that's a quick and, above all, honest service! Thanks!!!We'll definitely be back.

Very nice and centrally located hotel. Our room was very spacious with a large bathroom. The only small drawback was the lack of air conditioning.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! DO NOT BOOK! We booked four rooms through booking.com and were welcomed to the rudest hotel staff, no towels or changes of towels, non-operational WiFi even though our rooms came with it, pigeon feces all over the balconies, broken glass on the floor, and in-operable air conditioners in the middle of a heat wave.We regularly asked for help from the front desk and they were rude, telling us getting towels or finding housekeeping wasn't their job; that wifi doesn't have to work and that air conditioning isn't guaranteed. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel...What makes it even worse is booking.com even tried to negotiate with these people and they were blatantly rude to the on the phone! So much so that the booking.com people were openly empathetic about the difficulty of the staff and owner.Oh man ... and may patience be with you if you interact with the owner ... I finally got ahold of him and he immediately asked, "Are you booking.com??" When I began to explain the issue thinking this person would be rational, he called me a liar, over spoke me constantly, and was completely irrational ... wow. You can see from several other nightmare reviews that this is standard behavior for this staff and owner. Hopefully a chamber of commerce reads these reviews and steps in to help, because no one else is. Good luck to anyone willing to sink money into this waste pit ... the owner is scum and the employees reflect the toxic and diseased atmosphere of the hotel.

Centrally located hotel. Partially renovated rooms. Rooms facing the street were very noisy. Gentleman at reception very friendly and accommodating.Paid parking spaces available in front of the hotel.
