At first glance from the street, The Cabin looks a bit sad as it stands there with a black wooden facade, white windows and a red roof. But a lot has been done to pragmatically renovate what is certainly an old building. But the whole complex becomes more charming with every minute you spend there. In fact, everything was tip-top clean, the rooms were very puristic but in great order, the beds were hard but in my opinion just perfect (I slept great!), good bed linen. Showers were sufficiently available for large groups and were also clean and functional. Great: hairdryer at every sink, good towels, etc.The lounges are very nice with nice stylish details such as some retro pictures on the wall or two armchairs to put your feet up. Board games on site and plenty of space for yoga sessions in 1.5 rooms. In my opinion, you could conjure up the charm of the lounge with a few picture frames or fancy wallpapers in every room or even the hallways to go even further with affordable means. Next time you visit Hamburg/Berlin/hipster, just clear out a flea market.BUT: that is not necessary. It's a great, cheap accommodation with plenty of space for a large group to fill the house with lots of life... and before something breaks, I understand the landlord wants to keep the risk small. ;)BTW: there is plenty of space to safely park a lot of bikes and that is the most important thing for us!I felt very comfortable and am looking forward to coming back.

We were in the cabin with a group of around 30 people and can only report positive things. The booking process and the arrangements with Timo were very easy and friendly. On site, the owner only appears in the background and a lot of things run on a basis of trust, which we found to be extremely pleasant. The environment is very natural and you can't disturb any neighbors. The house itself was very well maintained, the kitchen was well equipped and the cozy lounge invites you to eat and relax. Music system and projector are also available. The rooms are simply designed, but very clean and comfortable. You can do a variety of activities in the area, be it bouldering, hiking or ice skating. We were more than satisfied and would love to come back :-)

As in previous years, great accommodation for a group of young people who love hiking and who are looking after themselves for three days in the Harz Mountains.

A very usable group accommodation.Celebrated a big birthday there. Was very enjoyable 😊The location is a little "out of the way" which of course also has advantages if you can be a little louder outside in the evening without getting into stress with the neighbors.Unfortunately, the outdoor areas appear very unkempt and overgrown, which gives a really bad first impression.Inside it looks much better. The bedrooms were very sober and simply furnished but the few were very clean and well maintained. Slept well. The kitchen was equipped with everything your heart could desire for group accommodation. Some of the common areas were a bit "shabby", but that wasn't a bad thing. The sanitary facilities/toilets/showers were clean and well-maintained, but some were a bit poorly designed. A shower without a usable separate anteroom in which the clothes and towels left behind are wet after showering is of little help.Modest Wi-Fi reception is only available in the group area downstairs. Conclusion:Apart from the rather minor defects, it is definitely recommended.

Timo is a wonderful host - very accommodating and helpful. The house is not only in the best location, in the middle of a nature reserve, it offers everything and more you need for a few days in a large group. We will definitely come back and can only recommend it.

We spent our wedding weekend in “The Cabin” on Oderbrück. We were surprised at how problem-free and customer-oriented the preparation was. Last but not least, a credit to Timo and the team! The stay was also completely stress-free, everything worked as discussed. We liked the facilities, the great breakfast and the direct contact with the landlord and team. Without exception, ALL guests (and of course us) were impressed by the house, surroundings and possibilities. Partying, hiking and relaxing with or without children, everything is possible. We will definitely come back and can only absolutely recommend a stay - full marks :)!
