A cozy little hotel, lovingly run by the tenant couple and supported by friendly and attentive staff. We have to particularly praise the appetizing, varied breakfast buffet, which regularly includes homemade specialties. The irregular barbecue evening for interested house guests is a highlight!

We were there for a weekend and felt very comfortable.Such a breakfast, with lots of delicious things and homemade, deserves a 10 out of 10. The rooms are nice and big enough, the bathrooms are great. The terraces and garden area were well maintained and simply great because we were there with two dogs. We'd love to come back.

We stayed at the Landhotel Alte Schule Minsen for 2 nights with a total of 3 people in 2 rooms and 2 dogs.After a warm welcome from the boss, we were able to move into our super clean, spacious and quiet rooms.For breakfast there was a very tasty, rich breakfast, with emphasis on homemade and regional food. (warm rice pudding in the morning, a dream)We will definitely come back, it was very nice, thank you for the lovely stay.

Went for a walk and happened to pass the old school. We spontaneously got homemade plum cake and a coffee here. I have rarely experienced such friendly and helpful guesthouse operators. Kudos to you and thank you again for your kindness.

We stayed at the old school for one night for a visit. Very spacious and clean room. Even though it was facing the street, you couldn't hear anything and was therefore very quiet. The bathroom is new and was equally spacious with sufficient storage space.You can tell that the tenants put a lot of thought into ensuring that their guests have a pleasant stay. The breakfast offering is exceptional and prepared with a lot of attention. The jams are homemade.The car is safely parked in the yard and the beach is just a few minutes' drive away. We liked it a lot, we'd love to come back!

We were guests with our furry friend for six days and we were more than completely satisfied.Our furry friend was also warmly welcomed at the Landhotel Alte Schule.The rooms are very nice and cozy, the breakfast is delicious, with lots of lovingly homemade jams and a wide selection of delicacies on the buffet.The lounges and the inviting garden with terrace and additional seating options also contribute to the feel-good atmosphere, as do the warm staff and hosts, the Winkler family.We will definitely come back and highly recommend the Landhotel Alte Schule!-Marie, Shorty and Mama x

We were there with our dog for 6 days and we really enjoyed it again. The family is super friendly. The breakfast buffet is simply great and leaves nothing to be desired. Jam, spreads, etc. are homemade. Our room was very nice and just right for us with a dog. We were there for the second time and it was even better than the first time. It's a shame we're missing the Friday barbecue event.

Spontaneously stopped there for 2 days. Very comfortable beds, 2 pillows (one smaller and one larger), bathroom clean and renovated.Since I have some intolerances, breakfast is often a topic of particular attention. Everything was great here. Many things that are homemade, for example. great jam creations, spreads such as leek cream cheese, egg salad, etc.And just as important for allergy sufferers; not a colorful mixed fruit salad but each fruit cut separately so that you can choose how you want to mix it.The service was also good and everyone was courteous. All highly recommended.

Very nice country hotel with a fantastic garden and an excellent breakfast. It is not far from the hotel to the coast, such as Horumersiel. In summer there is always a barbecue offer on Fridays, which we took advantage of. Everything was very tasty and the atmosphere was family. Really nice operators. Always my pleasure

Yesterday we took part in the barbecue grill buffet as 'non-hotel guests'! It was just great! From homemade salads and tasty sauces to selected meats, nothing was missing!We really enjoyed the evening in a family atmosphere with the very friendly operating team.We'll be back, no question.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Spontaneously booked a double room for one night and was very positively surprised. Bright and clean room after a nice reception. It is possible to take warm drinks from the fully automatic machine in the breakfast area during the day, or you can take a cold drink from a well-stocked refrigerator, all at fair prices, enter the room number in the list, pay on departure. Beautiful terrace that can be used all day long, be it for a coffee, breakfast or a beer, wine etc. in the evening.For breakfast, great buffet, always fresh and regional, if you are not satisfied with it you cannot be helped at any time. A small criticism that the hotelier can't help with is the parking situation, because the guests' parking behavior is a matter of luck. Possibly adding markers might help some.

We stayed in the beautiful hotel for four days, it's a great family atmosphere and the hotel staff were friendly throughout. In the evening we were on the terrace with the boss and had a lovely evening. The long distance from the hotel was good, close to the sea and the area was nice for walking. The beautiful living room and the beautiful garden were also great. Also worth mentioning is the good breakfast with homemade items. Dogs are always welcome with the family. There was no chance of boredom because there was a large selection of books and games. Cold drinks and chips were also provided in the living room.

A really great hotel with very nice owners and staff. There were three of us in the family room and we knew as soon as we arrived - what a stroke of luck!We were warmly welcomed and although we turned down the offer to take part in the barbecue evening (we really wanted to go to the water with our bikes first) and then came back a little hungry - the barbecue was already over - we were still treated very lovingly made for dinner. That wasn't a given, thank you again! The next joy came the very next morning - an equally lovingly prepared breakfast with homemade spreads (be sure to try the caramel!!!) with which we started the day. Here again, the staff was super nice and attentive.This continued throughout our stay and we were completely satisfied. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back.Kind regards from Thuringia ☀️
