The two of us were there for a week.Our impression when we arrived: “A bit antique but cozy”.Our impression didn't spoil us. We were completely satisfied, our wishes were taken into account and we had a nice chat with the owner every morning at breakfast.If you want to vacation in the corner and want to go to the Brocken, stop here, this guesthouse is highly recommended. We'll definitely check back.

Very friendly staff. The breakfast is rich and very good. At Christmas there was even a plate of sweets and fruit. Everything was great all around. We recommend.

A beautiful guesthouse with very comfortably furnished rooms. The location is absolutely brilliant and perfect for hikes. There are enough parking spaces and the hosts are very friendly. Thank you for the loving gesture on New Year's Eve.It would be nice if the rooms could be made a little darker, as the bank's advertising shone through and the lighting from our own house also shone into the room.And at breakfast I would have been happy with dark rolls, fruit and vegetables (tomatoes, cucumber) and a tea corner.Nevertheless, it was very nice there and a lot of things were made up for with friendliness and the great price.

After my booking at the "Brockenstübchen" went wrong, I was able to stop at the Pension Barbara at short notice. Very friendly lady who gave me a really good price. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is sufficient. The bathroom is ultra-modern. Everything very clean. I would like to thank you very much for the short notice and the great service. I can highly recommend Pension Barbara.

Rooms very spacious, enough power sockets for your own devices, fast WiFi, breakfast simple but sufficient, good starting point for hikes in the area and close to the Brockenbahn. Ample parking spaces for guests

The room is large, comfortably furnished, clean. The landlady is very nice, approachable and informative. The outdoor area is large, with plenty of play and seating options. There is enough parking space in front of the door.The breakfast was varied and delicious.Price-performance goes together wonderfully.

A nice hotel in a family atmosphere. The furnishings in the rooms are not super new but they are very well maintained and everything is clean. The bathrooms are extremely modern.The service team is friendly and committed.The breakfast is more than okay for the price, even if the usual buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon pancakes and the like is missing. The rolls are super tasty!

Requested a room via email. I received a confirmation of receipt stating that my request will be processed as quickly as possible. After four days I asked by phone. Not an apology, not a kind word. Just a “they are fully booked!”. Sorry, doesn't work at all.

It was my first time at the Pension Barbara in Schierke am Brocken in the Harz Mountains. The owner, Ms. Lehmann, welcomed me, gave me tips about the place and showed me the double room. Clean and comfortably furnished with a seating area. The room was cleaned every day. Towels lying on the floor in the bathroom were changed.The breakfast was rich and requests were catered for. In the evening drinks could be taken from the fridge. (trust fund)Free parking spaces are in front of the house. A small playground invites children. Tourist information, restaurants, spa park, PUG supermarket, Schierker Feuerstein Arena and the Feuerstein headquarters are within walking distance.I am very happy to recommend Pension Barbara and will hopefully come back soon.

The guesthouse is a bit old, there are a lot of small problems, the floor covering needs to be replaced, dust on the window sills, the television and the towel dryer, there could also be a little more selection of bread rolls for breakfast, the owner is very friendly and has always have a good tip ready.

The guesthouse is centrally located in Schierke. Excellent for events in the park. The rented apartment is well furnished and clean. The hostess is very nice and accommodating and has an open ear for everything. There is a small kitchen in the apartment that has everything that could be needed. You definitely don't have to bring anything with you, except to provide for your own needs, e.g. bring coffee. However, there is also a breakfast room, so you can book breakfast as well.

Pension is in a good location! The operator is nice and accommodating! The breakfast is sufficient and ok! Overall it is clean and great. But if you take a closer look, you'll notice a few things that should be mentioned here! I hope that this criticism will be taken as an opportunity to correct the deficiencies!Cleanliness of the bathroom: It was cleaned regularly! But the grout shower hasn't been thoroughly cleaned for a long time! Superficially clean, it's only noticeable when you look closely! Silicone joints between the floor and the wall were probably white! Did the tiler sleep on the color! Normally you go for gray! In any case, these joints were no longer completely white! As already mentioned, it was cleaned every day!Living room: Apparently everything is clean and well furnished! If you then look under the bed, and I always do that when I'm staying with strangers, then the dust bunnies come bounding towards you! But vacuuming underneath shouldn't be a major challenge!Breakfast: Can't really complain. All I was missing was fruit. Otherwise everything was ok!
