We visited this hotel for 4 nights. The owner seemed very curt when greeting us, so we went looking for our room alone. The building is a bit old, but is still nicely furnished. The wellness area in particular is very attractive and modern. The room walls are very thick, so we didn't notice any of the other hotel guests. The WiFi is very poor or non-existent.The breakfast is plentiful and lovingly prepared, there is really nothing missing!The nice service employee was very attentive and interested.Unfortunately, we often noticed that the owner walked around talking loudly on the phone and showed no interest in her guests. The location of the hotel is great, the city can be reached in 5 minutes on foot.

When we arrived in the afternoon, we rang the doorbell because the front door was closed. We were informed that the room key was on the reception desk. The next morning the orientation for breakfast took place. A lady called and said we could sit wherever we wanted. After a while a service person came to get something when breakfast was served. She was nice, friendly and helpful. Gave us tips for the day after we told her what we were doing. The room was bright, had a TV and two wing chairs that were impossible to stand, watching TV from them was something of a contortion, but not for rainy evenings. The bathroom, or what it was supposed to be, had no vent. There was a grille in the ceiling but no fan could be heard. The moisture after showering lasted forever. Otherwise you could see everywhere that the ravages of time are gnawing at the house. It is in need of renovation. Today the nice service staff was there again for breakfast, apparently the good soul of the house. There was no greeting from the owner or owners of the house. So we just put the room key on the counter at the entrance and drove away. Unfortunately, the idea of service to attract more guests or see them again was completely missing in this house, with the exception of the aforementioned service person. We noticed this behavior almost everywhere on the edge.We can only give 2 points for the rooms. The 3 for the service is for the service person and the 4 for the location because it was in a quiet corner of the town, which in turn is in an interesting corner of Germany.

Good morningWe stayed at Villa Foresta with our granddaughter for 8 days at the end of August. It's a very nice little hotel. The rooms are functionally furnished. Breakfast is a real bombshell. And the location is excellent. You can walk to the main shopping street in about 5 minutes. But what is even more important. The hotel is so quiet that, to put it bluntly, you could hear a mouse with a peg leg running across the paths. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. At breakfast they are happy to provide information about various things you can do in or around Braunlage. We would always come back if we go to Braunlage again

No cleaning or emptying trash in 3 days -
and we were travelling with a baby. We ordered the room with breakfast but had to pay extra for that when checking out. When we tried to reason with the owner, she just turned into her native language. So impolite!

Very nice hotel and very tasty and extensive breakfast. The rooms are already furnished and very comfortable. There are also enough parking spaces in front of the house.

The friendliness at reception is in need of improvement. The keys were handed over in a wordless manner and we were able to look for the rooms ourselves. The rooms were bright, clean and functionally furnished. The bathroom was from earlier times. Getting warm water required patience. The light in the lounge was suboptimal. When asked for more light, there was no improvement. The breakfast was very, very good and offered a lot of choice. Positive, the lady at breakfast service was very friendly and helpful.

We are currently here in the hotel and we feel quite comfortable so far. We have a room in the guest house, you walk about 600 meters to the main house.This is not a bad idea for breakfast in the morning when the weather is good. A nice walk through the forest and then back again, suitable for us.To our surprise, there was a guest card in the room and we were able to take the bus in the area for free.The house here is in complete silence, the guest house itself is a little noisy when the other guests are a little noisy themselves. This means when others slam the door or feel like they are running on their heels. But the hotel can't help it.There are two of us here, we have a beautiful 2.5 room apartment and a huge roof terrace all to ourselves. The apartment is functionally furnished, clean and there are many options. A kitchen with a refrigerator is integrated and all utilities are available, two hobs, oven, microwave, etc.The shower could be a little bigger or I could just take it off a bit, it always depends on the perspective 😂.The closet is a bit small, but since there's enough space there, we just live out of our suitcases, which isn't an issue for us.The bed is comfortable and not too soft, if it was too soft I would notice it in the morning.The environment is great. Many hikes, activities and excursions possible. The gastronomy in Braunlage is diverse. Went somewhere else every day and weren't disappointed.We can imagine coming back.

Quaint hotel in an incredibly great location, a dream for all hiking enthusiasts with a dog!The breakfast fairy is simply an asset; she sweetened our day every morning, whether it was hiking tips, explanations or just a nice snack. The best start to the day with the super rich breakfast! Our bedroom/living room was very nice, but we had problems with our retro bathroom.

Very tasty breakfast, also possible at short notice. Dogs are welcome. Nice atmosphere, a lot of homemade stuff! Unfortunately there was little vegetarian or pork-free food. Relaxed atmosphere. We always enjoy going back!! The yak wool blankets are particularly great. I love them!!

A nice, small hotel, not far from the cable car and the ice rink. Our room faced the garden and had a huge balcony. The room is modernly furnished, we found it cozy and wonderfully quiet. The breakfast was really great, rich, with lots of homemade salads, fresh rolls and eggs from happy chickens directly from the Braunlage farm. We really liked it and would like to come back

A dog-friendly hotel with a great breakfast. Gluten-free requests are also catered for. The topic is becoming more and more popular and oat milk is also offered here. The staff is very friendly. The room (probably due to traveling with dogs) was a bit rustic. It could do with some TLC in terms of color and freshness. Unfortunately, we had a room right on the staircase, and from 7 a.m. every creak could be heard through the rustic room door for us and the dogs. The bathroom could also use some mold ex. The lobby is great and invites you to linger in the evenings and drinks/games are also available.

We felt very comfortable and were completely looked after, well advised and served excellently. The location is quiet and idyllic and everything in Braunlage can be easily reached on foot. Dogs are very welcome there and are already on site. All love animals and also completely unobtrusive. We would be happy to come back and wish you continued success and all the best.

Great hotel! Beautiful rooms! Breakfast was simply great (lots of homemade food: egg salad, tuna salad...)! Great seating area with fireplace in the lobby! Can be recommended 100% with a clear conscience!

Very nice staff and clean, nice rooms. We were there from February 13th to February 16th, 2024. Breakfast was an unforgettable moment in the morning. Everything you could wish for was there. We will definitely come back on our next stay in the area.

Our favorite hotel in Braunlage. Every room looks different, it's always a surprise when you open the door. Quiet location and great breakfast. The owner and the staff are very friendly and give helpful tips for your vacation.
