We were very satisfied. It was comfortable, clean and everything you needed was there. Great connection to the outdoor pool (4-5 minutes on foot). Shopping options nearby on foot or a further location by car.Beautiful landscape with great hiking trails and places to stop for refreshments. The owners of the FW are super nice and helpful. They always gave us good advice and good tips for excursions or where to eat.We were able to relax well and had a lovely time in Klosterreichenbach with the Kettenbaum family.

If you do not stay here, you are doing yourself a great disservice. I am writing this review with a bit of hesitation… I hope I do not regret letting others know just how wonderful this place is. To be on the safe side I am already making my reservations for 3 weeks next year. We traveled here from Florida after finding Hof Reichenbachtal over the internet. As you know, one never knows what you are truly getting until you show up and then it is too late. This place has everything you could possibly want and more. It is the most perfect place to be if you want to totally relax or explore the Black Forest. It is quiet, quaint, tranquil, comfortable, relaxing , scenic, your blood pressure will definitely go down.Your host, Mr. Kettenbaum, is professional, very friendly, helpful and speaks English and German. He is eager to assist with any of your needs.The accommodations are spotlessly CLEAN. Parking is safe and on site, right at your front door, and free of charge. The home is furnished with newer quality furnishings, certainly not the run of the mill rental accommodations. This home is first class. The beds are firm and very comfortable, even the bunk bed, which is where I slept. Both bedrooms are roomy and have screens on the windows to keep mosquitos out. Bed sheets and towels are provided and are of a very nice quality. A washer and dryer are provided in the bathroom for your use. The bathroom is large and has a bathtub, a separate shower, and two sinks, (no toilet). The half bath has a toilet and sink. While this may sound odd, it is most convenient. The kitchen has everything you could need, including a microwave. It has seating for four people (a bit tight), and has a roomy dining room conveniently just outside the kitchen door. Outdoor dining accommodations (or cocktails at sunset) are just outside the front door. Two outdoor dining areas are provided for your use. Do pay attention to the table legs...I got a big laugh.Lounge chairs are provided in the garden beneath the rustling trees for your relaxation. For the travelers with young children there is a very safe area for them to play just outside your door. Crib, highchair, toys and games are provided for the young ones. A large TV and stereo are provided in the very comfortable living room. Pets (Dogs) are welcome here and they too will be very safe while exploring outside. For your safety, automatic lights activate in the Hof (Garden area) for when you are arriving after dark or letting the dog out one last time at night. If hiking or biking is your thing, this is the place to be. There are too many trails to count and the scenery is breathtaking. The terrain is mountainous but doable. An outdoor heated community swimming pool is within sight (about a 4 minute walk). While a car is necessary for this area, two restaurants are within walking distance and several grocery stores are within 3 miles. Train station is a 7 minute walk away. WiFi is provided and has good reception.P.S. If your are using GPS to locate the property, please note that the last 200 meters are slightly incorrect. ( ie...wrong side of the road).We have been here 9 days……I sure hate to leave! ! !
