We were looking for an overnight stay in Baiersbronn at short notice and the only thing that was still available was in the Waldknechthof.What luck...Inconspicuous from the outside but the room or suite offered to us is a hit..Exactly our taste... incredibly cozy because it's equipped with a lot of old wood...Now all we have to do is find the restaurant that suits our taste...then we have found our new place to go in the Black Forest...Especially since the hotel is quite centrally located...Enough parking spaces... also nearby and the train station or the monastery and a small park with a playground and WedNigolf within walking distance...Everything great..So.. Restaurant also fully met our expectations..Great cuisine and very friendly staff..Always very happy...

We went there with a reservation in advance based on a recommendation.It was a Sunday evening and there wasn't much going on. And then we were sat down in a farmhouse room, where it wasn't comfortable, and the tablecloth was unfortunately dirty and full of crumbs from the previous person!!And next door was a beautifully decorated room where only 1 table was occupied. The rest was all free.The taste of the food was good, but the side dish was also a bit lacking, so the price-performance ratio was unfortunately no longer suitable. And salads also cost extra.We imagined going out for a leisurely meal on a Sunday evening differently.

We celebrated our wedding at the Waldknechtshof in August and couldn't have imagined anything better.From making contact, to the rehearsal dinner, to the wedding, everything went great, friendly and uncomplicated.Our outdoor wedding took place on the beautiful terrace, fortunately the existing bad weather alternative was not needed. The champagne reception that followed left nothing to be desired.We were more than impressed with the food and were able to accommodate all of our special requests. It was also possible to create a menu with traditional German and traditional Indian dishes that met the tastes of our German and Indian guests.The ballroom is large, beautiful and has a special charm thanks to the wood.The service there is also first class and they are always there for you.Spending the night in the beautiful, tidy rooms was also very pleasant.We can definitely recommend the Waldknechtshof as a wedding location, as well as a restaurant or hotel for a stay in the middle of the Black Forest.Many thanks to Mr. Graßmann and Mr. Götz, as well as to their entire service team

The Waldknechtshof has very tasty and finely prepared food. But for children who were 6 and 3 and younger, forgetting to eat is pretty steep.Everyone could eat, but small children waited extremely long and when they asked again, they only rolled their eyes and brought something half-heartedly.It's actually a shame about the beautiful inn if that's why you don't want to come anymore... just look for employees who are motivated and not overwhelmed by a wedding party.The location is cozy and chic.Cocktails could be improved, they weren't necessarily good and the annoyed waiter, who was noticed negatively several times...

You’ll notice that in the Black Forest most restaurants are likely to be situated inside a hotel that’s not always what a traveler wants. So it was pretty cool to find this restaurant catering for different tastes with a good service and the prices are still very competitive. It’s worth a visit when in the area.

We celebrated our absolute dream wedding at Waldknechtshof last weekend!The location itself is simply beautiful. The whole thing was topped off with a top-class menu.Thanks to the great organization through the comprehensive preliminary discussions and the attentive service, we felt completely at home. Very nice location, very friendly service. Unfortunately the food was very bad, the cleanliness of the location left a lot to be desired (stairs and toilets were very dirty). After eating, 3 people had stomach problems and diarrhea.

We celebrated our wedding at Waldknechtshof last weekend. We couldn't have imagined a better place. The service is first class, you are virtually never left high and dry. The food was impeccable. After the party you could stumble straight into the beautiful rooms. Everything very clean. We were very happy with everything.

Was warmly received despite a spontaneous walk in stop. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice, helpful and the service in the restaurant was also great. The restaurant was busy and both dinner and breakfast were excellent.

I was disappointed with the food (Swabian lentils and spaetzle with wienerle). They were beluga lentils and not floury Alpine lentils, which meant the food was very dry.
