We were registered for lunch as a small family for our birthday and wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were surprised with a nicely decorated table. The service was as we hoped. Likewise the food selection. The tarte flambée, the pumpkin linguine, the pumpkin risotto, the rum steak with side dishes, the affogato al caffè were perfect for us. We wanted things to be relaxed so that we could really be among ourselves in our small circle.Many thanks to the very competent Rhita and her colleagues. And of course for the surprise cake that was presented with Happy Birthday.

Went to the restaurant with two small children. As always, we were very satisfied! Delicious food, good selection and large portions with reasonable prices. Also very nice service and you can tell that children are welcome here 😃

The hotel, the lake and the entire atmosphere are truly one of the pearls in the Black Forest.In particular, the hotel with its staff, the service, the exceptionally good food make even a short stay something special. Short-term changes to the booked Nenue to a basic menu were implemented without any problems and extremely tasty.Here, feeling good is the order of the day from the first minute.We'll be back.100%!!!

I had a wonderful stay at the Berhotel! The location is perfect (if you are traveling by car) and the view from the hotel is unique! The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very balanced and sufficient. The room was clean and large - we had a family room. I will definitely come again!

We were just in the restaurant.Unfortunately the quality of the food has declined significantly. The food wasn't particularly tasty, there were no vegetable side dishes at all, the portions were small and you had to wait quite a long time.We used to enjoy the food here much better. The price is pretty high too. We would have hoped for better.

We come to the hotel regularly. It is wonderful, loving and extremely family-friendly (family room with children's sink, extra children's shampoo, children's bed, etc.) in that respect one of the best hotels we know (and we have traveled around the globe a bit...). The rooms are large and well equipped. The breakfast is fantastic, e.g. fresh omelette, juice bar, pancakes, salmon, etc. All the staff are very friendly. And don't forget the location and the view. We will definitely come back again and again :-)

Top hotel at 1036 meters above sea level, pure tranquility. For people who really want to enjoy the peace and quiet and switch off from the crowds, in my opinion it's the right thing!We'd love to come back.Top service, top shops, top staff and the restaurant is mega top. 👍💪

Plus points for quality, ambience and location, service from an employee really needs improvement:We haven't stayed at the hotel (yet), the review refers to the café/restaurant.First of all, the location here is really fantastic. We also really liked the decor and the interior of the restaurant. Everything is absolutely harmonious and very comfortably furnished, the dishes are also suitable and nice to look at.We stopped here for a coffee and a piece of cake after a hiking tour.The welcome from the friendly waiter was also very nice and unobtrusive, so we initially felt welcome.I really have to say, the Black Forest cake was pure enjoyment.So so delicious!But the Linzer Torte also tasted good. There's a lot of praise for that.However, we found it a bit strange that the cake, which costs just under €5 per piece, doesn't come with a napkin. That would be appropriate in our opinion. Even if the quality and taste justify the price.While we were happily eating our cake there, another waiter suddenly came along, who unfortunately caught our attention somewhat negatively because he wanted to push my bag to the side in a rude manner to make room for other guests. First of all, my bag wasn't lying on the bench in such a way that there was no room left and secondly, the waiter's manner was really not appropriate (very hectic, without asking...)This waiter struck us as even more unpleasant because of his manner, because he was just a bit “too over-the-top” in his overly friendly comments towards the guests. He even downright reprimanded some guests, although with an extremely friendly demeanor, but he was absolutely inauthentic. For example, a guest asked if he could pay by card, to which the waiter said that it really wasn't much and that you could certainly pay in cash... he also pointed out a mistake to his colleague in front of the guests, which was mine In my opinion it is an absurdity. We didn't feel as comfortable in his presence as before. His “overly friendly” but somehow very hectic and somewhat aggressive manner made us uncomfortable.Nevertheless, I would like to recommend the restaurant because everything else was good.Maybe in the future small napkins will be enough, the waitress can be briefed again and everything will be perfect

The hotel is easily accessible by public transport. Beautiful location on Mummelsee, hikes possible around it. Very good service, very hard working. The food (half board) is wonderful! The room was very nice and the wellness area is nice. Highly recommended!
