Unfortunately I now have to revise my rating downwards.You have to bring the food in the “Biergaten” yourself and then clear it away.All the tables outside were full of ants (about 30 ants per table) and they weren't cleaned either.And the food (meat) was extremely dry and the salad was brown... a shame.

We started our bike tour “Via Claudia Augusta” here. The Schmidbaur family was very accommodating; we were able to leave our car in the hotel parking lot for these 14 days. Both breakfast and dinner were very good. I can definitely recommend the hotel.

We received a very nice and warm welcome. We were absolutely satisfied with the room and the breakfast the next day was, in our opinion, very, very good. It was just a shame that we couldn't get dinner on the day of arrival because it was a rest day. We would happily book the hotel again.

Quaint and family-run hotel.Ms. and Mr. Schmidbauer love and live the hotel, which is evident in their open and very friendly nature. The breakfast had a normal selection, sausage and cheese tasted great.Rooms have enough storage space for clothes.Toilet was tidy and modern.It only gave 3 stars because it was constantly whirring due to the TV technology that was one floor up. But it's specifically only like this in this room.It was also quite noisy in the hallway and the neighboring roomThe town of Wörnitzstein is small, has a chapel with a beautiful view and an interesting circular route on the subject of meteorite craters.

The house is embedded in a beautiful mountain landscape and right outside Salzburg. That's why there are many excursion options around Salzburg.The new holiday apartment is very generously furnished and offers a lot of space and comfort and is very reasonably priced. Very satisfied overall, also with the animals around the house.
