Der Hülshoff Restaurant Hotel

I was a DJ at a wedding at the location and have never experienced such unfriendly behavior in 21 years as a DJ. We registered in advance in writing for the technology to be set up 2 hours before the start of the event (runs automatically via the agency I work with). The event went ahead as planned and there were no problems. Food service was good from my point of view and from the guests' point of view!But what turned things around was the absolutely outrageous behavior after the event. Since as a DJ I always bring my equipment with me, it should be clear that we will take it with us after the event and will need some time for it. About 1:15 1:25 were scheduled for this. After about 20 minutes I was very rudely asked to leave and pick up the technology the next day. When I pointed out that this was not possible because 1. the technology was not insured at Hülshoff and 2. it would be a significant effort for me to drive 60 km to Hamm and then pick everything up again the next day, I only got the answer that he (the boss) doesn't give a shit. I didn't give a shit that he had to wait for me until I was finished. Of course I only left with my material. This was only possible because I threatened to call the police to get my material. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE behavior by the restaurateur. He justified the whole thing by saying that his staff actually finished work at 3 a.m. The music played exactly until 3:53. If that is the case and he is not allowed or willing to let his staff work overtime, he either has to organize a shift change or end the event earlier (of course in consultation with the guests).Other than dismantling the technology straight away, I haven't done that in 21 years as a DJ and I won't. The exception is of course very large events with a corresponding security service etc. But we are talking about a wedding with 55 people or so.As a guest and DJ, the location will no longer see me. I have never been dismissed so unkindly from a restaurant.The statement that he (the boss) has no contractual relationship with me and that I should read the terms and conditions in advance says a lot about his character.The fact that you can't say goodbye or goodbye to a guest who I'm also a DJ is just another matter.Last but not least, I noticed that the hour that I actually needed just to dismantle it was supposed to be charged to the bride and groom.Absolute nonsense if you ask me and unfortunately I don't recommend it because of how it behaves. You can feel more welcome in other locations.IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE:Some sockets fall out of the walls and are not secured properly. Small children can easily get to live wires here. I can't say whether this is the case in the rooms, but there were at least 3 such sockets in the room where the event took place.I can't say anything about the rooms, other than that I thought the location was nice, but unfortunately the behavior leaves a deep impression.

Nice ambience. Delicious food. Small menu, but something for everyone. Very nice staff.

Not recommended.Events organized at Hülshoff, such as weddings, are not recommended because the organizer does not display an objective and professional manner. We really hoped for more!

Disaster.Negative reviews will be deleted.Don't plan any events there!

I have been wanting to go to this venue for 3 decades, as my brother lived nearby. My great niece was married here this September. The staff, the service, and food, were outstanding. It was a perfect day.

We celebrated our wedding in October 2024 with 65 guests in the Kotten.The support in advance, the service on site as well as the food and the location as a whole were fantastic. We are completely satisfied!

Good restaurant with fine cuisine at fair prices. Another insider tip in Lippstadt. I'd love to come here. The staff is attentive and the location is quiet in the countryside.

We celebrated our wedding in July in Deele, Hülshoff and are completely satisfied. The planning with Nils & team was always great and exceeded our wishes. Food was excellent and the service was fantastic. The beer garden is ideal for relaxing. Thanks again to Nils, Matti & team for these great moments in the Deele. VG Alexander & Kerstin

We celebrated our wedding in June 2024 with around 95 guests at Hülshoff in Deele: free wedding ceremony, champagne reception, meal and subsequent celebration.The location was an absolute dream for us. The weather was on our side and we were able to have the wedding ceremony take place outside. The great thing about the location: There is also a “bad weather alternative” for the wedding ceremony in the hayloft, which also has a really nice atmosphere!For the wedding, the Hülshoff had already set up a water buffet by arrangement so that the guests were supplied even in the warmer temperatures.For the meal we decided on Spanish delicacies for the table, for the main course on a grill buffet and for dessert on two different types of mousse. The food was really delicious - both we and our guests loved it! The service was consistently very nice, competent and quick.The entire team always gave us very good advice and support throughout the entire planning period and always tried to implement all of our wishes and ideas (and we were told that we had a few 😉). Big thanks especially to Matti and Nils, who and their team gave everything to give us the perfect day we wanted. You did it! 😊All in all, an absolute heartfelt recommendation. 🤍

We were out in the restaurant last week and were very impressed. Great food, beautifully prepared, very nice service and a wonderful atmosphere. We'll be back tomorrow 😊
