Showed up for lunch on October 30, 2024 with two people without prior notice and still got a nice seat! Excellent food, best fish restaurant in the surrounding area so far! Particularly recommended: trout fillets on spinach "Florentine" and char fillets with crabs on champagne sauce with butter rice. Be sure to try the porcini mushroom cream soup. - Unfortunately, the wine prices (open 0.1 l €8 + bottle of Badischer WW €45) are overpriced and - at least for early retirees - unreasonably expensive. Alpirsbacher Klosterbräu-Pils, on the other hand, is worthy of an award. Lovely location - quiet in a valley, with its own public transport station on the doorstep!

We celebrated our father's 80th birthday in the old Neuenbürg mill. The ambience, the isolation in wonderful nature and the great ensemble of buildings are extremely attractive. A table was prepared for us and we were allowed to bring our own floral decorations.Unfortunately, the table that was set up was quite narrowly set. On one side there were 4 people sitting on chairs with enough space. Six people were placed on the bench opposite, and another person at each end. The people sitting on the bench in particular were sitting very, very close together. This was noted right at the beginning on our part. Unfortunately, our comment was cold and unfriendly, saying that this was always done in the house. We found this reaction inappropriate for a company with several people who would ensure good sales at the end of the day.We had the great-grandson of the 80-year-old host with us, who, at the age of almost 2, doesn't sit silently at the table all the time.We received annoyed looks from the restaurant management. At the next table, every movement of the small child was documented with looks and words and the restaurant management sat there and never once tried to dissuade the lady at the next table from talking about a child playing in a condescending and extremely annoyed manner.Bottom line, we wouldn't advise anyone with small children to have dinner here. The prices are too high for that. The food was consistently very good. The wines too.The service was courteous, friendly and professional. If there had been a little more friendliness and, above all, child-friendliness, it would be 5 stars.Dogs seem to be more welcome here than children.

We were "only" eating, which is why I can't rate the room. Food and service were very good. Restaurant very busy, reservation in advance is essential

Beautiful hotel, beautiful location and good welcome. As is often the case in Germany, there is no tea/coffee set in the room. And strangely the blackout curtains in the bedroom are missing 10 cm to be completely effective. But overall the place is very pleasant. The restaurant is excellent for fish. Rather average breakfast. Large parking lot.

We wanted to sit in the restaurant and not in the hunter's room, isolated with others. However, it is not noted when booking an appointment. Service was ok, food is good, but still not a pleasure.

We recently visited this wonderful restaurant and absolutely loved it! I would particularly like to highlight the Quinoa Bowl - a perfect composition of fresh, high-quality ingredients that not only tastes great, but is also a real visual delight. You can immediately tell that a lot of attention is paid to details here. What particularly impressed us was the excellent service. Our every wish was literally met, and in such a natural and warm way that you feel completely comfortable. Our dog was also warmly welcomed and was immediately greeted with a bowl of water and lots of affection. Every guest, whether human or animal, really feels like they are in good hands here. My dog was very welcome! 🐶♥️A restaurant that I can fully recommend! We'll definitely be back.
