My husband was looking forward to a warm solyanka, so we took a break there.The atmosphere was a bit dingy, but we took a seat.Shortly afterwards the very "friendly" waitress came and said succinctly - "it's after 2 p.m., there's nothing hot left"...No friendly offer if we would like something else...We then left immediately and were served very friendly in another restaurant.Meißen is great, but we won't stop there again.

We stopped here for a coffee, iced chocolate and sundae. I really liked the small garden with a wonderful view and a pleasant atmosphere 🙂 it looked very cozy inside too. Unfortunately, we expected more from the ice cream sundaes, at least that they would look like they are presented in the picture 🤨 the taste was also not much 🤨 But otherwise, a wonderful environment 🙂

You can't go wrong with Viennese and the like. However, the so-called ice cream sundae was already tiny, and the contents in it were even tiny. There were 5 spoons, and the so-called soft ice cream sundae was empty. We actually wanted scoops of ice cream, but the rough-toned lady acted as if such a thing didn't exist. But it's on the worn menu .It's a shame, I don't have to go there again.

A very inconspicuous restaurant. You can sit nicely in the beer garden, but also inside and it looks worth seeing. There are delicious drinks and the food should also be good.

Five of us stopped in, the welcome wasn't overly friendly, but ok. Drinks (juice spritzer) were ok, but we didn't like the food, schnitzel with asparagus and boiled potatoes, which was a shame because the potatoes were hardly seasoned and we thought so Prepared industrially, as did the schnitzel and asparagus, unfortunately prepared without any aromatics, so it was weak. Why do you place asparagus on the crispy breading of a schnitzel? Why isn't there some sauce or butter for the asparagus? - unfortunately it wasn't noticed that the oil on the salad decoration had gone rancid. Unfortunately, when we mentioned this while paying, there was no apology (5 eaters can't be wrong at the same time.) We would have liked to have been treated professionally by us guests! . - Price would have been okay if everything had been home-cooked and tasty. - Unfortunately we will not be coming back and were disappointed.The toilet was clean!The surroundings and the economy itself are beautiful. Another note outside of the rating: card payment is not possible. (not bad, it says there)

From my own professional experience, I know that service can be done differently!While I was having my coffee and cake at a rather dingily set table with a dirty menagerie, (presumably the manager of the house) briefly disappeared. To come back with something to eat for yourself. This was taken while reading the newspaper at the counter. I felt like an uninvited guest. So it didn't keep me any longer than necessary.Coffee was lukewarm. Cake and price halfway ok.Plus point... the toilets were at least very clean.

Danger!!!!!!One star only stands for the location, Meißen is a beautiful city, cozy, feel-good city!Unfortunately, we ended up in the "Burgstuben", with curt service, stale beer that was on the tap for ages, the schnitzel quickly pulled through the fryer fat, followed by fries, with the potato soup: cloudy soup with "mini sausages" to look for, unfortunately not recommended , Pity!!!! We will never be guests again.

We stayed in the house for an overnight stay. The room and bathroom were clean and functional, the coffee and cake tasted good and I didn't find the service unfriendly. The breakfast was very nicely prepared. Thank you for letting us end the evening in the pretty beer garden.

Very nice location with a view of the city.The wine was good. The wine spritzer 0.2 liters. For €6, we found it a bit expensive. What you can't say while eating, though.But we hadn't eaten anythingThe service (probably the boss) wasn't exactly very friendly.

Nice location in front of the castle gate. Also recommended for a short stop, and there is always time for a glass of local wine. Tip: add pickled cheese and a glass of wine, then you can manage the castle afterwards.
