I needed accommodation in Wolfen for my son and I at very short notice and was very grateful that there was still an apartment available for us in Unikum. I was very positively surprised by the green surroundings, the park is beautiful. Despite the main road being right in front of the door, the house was surprisingly quiet. The apartment itself was very spacious and open-plan. I was particularly pleased with the large and bright bathroom. If you had any questions, the administration and house staff were available at any time. Shopping could be done within walking distance in the nearby supermarket. In the kitchen we found everything we needed to cook. We had a very nice week there. Thanks so much.

Today I was woken up again by vacuuming in the physiotherapy practice. At 05:30. It's nice that guests are expected to keep the night's rest, but the cleaning staff is exempt from this. The rooms are run down, beds are completely worn out, the pillows are loose, 5 years old and uncomfortable, the kitchen equipment is absolutely inadequate to cook for 5 days. Scratched pans and pots, dirty refrigerators and missing cooking utensils are just the tip of the iceberg.Toilet paper is rationed as if it were still Corona. If the three of you are locked in a small apartment and you ask whether you could possibly get a larger apartment, everyone just laughs and reacts with incomprehension. The staff disregards the privacy of the guests and goes into the rooms every day without being asked. Not for housekeeping or anything. No no. To "check out what the rooms look like".By the way, this is forbidden.I cannot recommend anyone to stay here.

Staff are not willing to talk/compromise and reject any attempt at communication. Staff goes into the individual “apartments”, although they have neither asked for this nor can they do anything about it. Photos are taken of the residents' belongings. The staff is extremely unfriendly and makes claims that damage to property and/or disturbances of the peace occur just to look good or sometimes simply to get money out of it. Heaters either don't work at all or only work at just under 14 degrees. If one does work, it turns off at night, so cases of illness are not unlikely in winter. There is hair on the beds and the tubs are simply uncomfortable to enter. All in all, not a nice place to stay, regardless of the reasons.

It wasn't good at all. I had to move to Wolfen because of the job. At first, property manager lied me about washing machine, she said that there was one, and I could use it. In reality I couldn't because it wasn't THEIR washing machine. Bathroom is okay, but bathtub stays in the most inappropriate corner, just under the decent roof. And it wasn't clean at first, it was a lot of hairs in the sink. Mini-fridge is in couple meters from your bed, and it works really loud. Have no idea how someone can cook in this kitchen-cell, because there is no hood, and your bed is in two meters. Furniture is from fifties, grey carpet (and there is no vacuum cleaner available), and additional bed packed in plastic accomplish this place, which costs, by the way, like one-bedroom apartment in the neighborhood.Price is not transparent at all.Management is unfriendly and absolutely nonflexible. But very good house keeping, thanks to Hausmeister for fixing my reading lamp!Location is also good, supermarket on the corner, garden and beautiful trees.

The apartment was clean, cheap, simply but lovingly furnished, even the details, such as the reading lamp on the bed, were thought of, I felt very comfortable!

I felt comfortable in my holiday apartment under the roof and think it's good value for money. I find the demands of other users quite unreasonable in view of the price. I slept very well in the bed, everything was clean, there is plenty of space, good WiFi and minimal equipment in the kitchen, but it is sufficient. There are beautiful trees in front of the door and there is a supermarket around the corner.

Not recommended. The quality of the facilities is poor, which means that decent living is not possible.

Cheap equipment from sagging mattresses/beds to the kitchen area (low quality pans and cooking surfaces) to small bathtubs and even insufficient insulation or sealing as unpleasant temperatures prevail in winter despite the heating being turned up. Insufficient equipment for the intended number of residents (refrigerator too small). Also, staff hardly willing to compromise. All in all, not recommended, based on experience.

A pity...You used to be able to use and book the bowling alley there. It was always a fun evening. But that's long gone since now you either have to have a room there or have a big party. It's a shame that this opportunity has been taken away from the public. Activities should be preserved but also accessible to everyone. What remains, old memories...
