Hessian economy with good regional food and drink.The innkeepers and staff are very attentive and friendly and the restaurant is well attended, so order in advance!For me personally, I can't find much on the menu, but if you like something hearty and Hessian, you'll be happy about the many specialties.Parking spaces are available nearby, as well as a playroom for children, a terrace and a large beer garden

The Kastanienhof is an absolute insider tip for anyone who is looking for a cozy, family atmosphere and excellent cuisine. The ambience is rustic and inviting, with great attention to detail - you immediately feel at home.The food was simply outstanding! The dishes are freshly prepared, regional and perfectly seasoned. We were particularly impressed by the homemade specialties. The service was also top – friendly, attentive and always with a smile on their faces. You can tell that people put their heart and soul into the work here.If you want to spend a relaxing evening in great surroundings, you shouldn't miss the Kastanienhof. We'll definitely be back! Absolutely recommended!

I can't understand all the comments about the good food.Anyone can have a bad day, but thanks to various company parties, this is the third time I've had the pleasure of having bad food.Only this time it was so bad that within two hours I had stomach cramps and had to declare the toilet my favorite place for two days.The first bite of the pork schnitzel tasted strange, but for all of us, even the complaint to the chef was simply ignored and no response was given. The rum steak that some of us had was cooked to shoe leather, the fried potatoes were burnt, and the attempt to hide them with tons of herbs wasn't any better.By Frankfurter green sauce I mean something different, because this one knows something, more like quark.I hope that none of my bosses ever come up with the idea of having our party take place there again, otherwise I will forego the pleasant company before I allow myself to be poisoned again.NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Super delicious Hessian dishes. No matter whether it's a starter/main course or dessert. The selection of drinks is also very good, from aperitifs to digestifs. Also worth mentioning is the great and very friendly service - special praise to Erik - and the children's playroom. We'd love to come back.

A very special experience.Super friendly reception. Then at the table the first surprise was a gift for the dog. The next highlight is an amazing card.Great Hessian specialties in different interpretations.You can hardly decide.Fast, attentive service, the food was of great quality and generous in quantity. Finally, a wonderful chestnut liqueur because it was so delicious, an old plum served in proper style.If I could give 6 stars I would.Greetings to the team! Wonderful, keep it up!

I can't understand the many very positive comments about the quality of the food and the attention to detail. I found many of the dishes in yesterday's evening group (5 people) carelessly prepared,the veal schnitzel was chewy and...the vegan meatballs are brutally over-seasoned.Instead of the croquettes ordered with the schnitzel (from the deep fryer), Duchess potatoes came (from the deep fryer and obviously not homemade) or the fried potatoes from the menu.For the schnitzel with fries, lemon only came upon request.Perhaps the quality of the cuisine is not the same every day...But the seating is actually very nice and the atmosphere and service are pleasant.Overall three stars

We've been here several times. Simply great! Great quality, preferably regional and seasonal. Hessian specialties and German cuisine but with an eye for detail. You can tell that everything is done by yourself wherever possible. This makes the dishes stand out from the monotony of many restaurants. Despite moderate prices, very good portions. And extremely attentive staff. We came with dogs and as soon as we sat down there was a bowl of water and a small assortment of treats for him. And again: you can tell the passion for the products. Local suppliers are rightly placed in the foreground with pride. After dinner we ordered a few schnapps. Great quality here too! And extensive information about the producers through the service. Friendly and not intrusive. Overall, really a great shop. You can be really proud of what you have built here!
