Just the right choice for us as a family, 2 children and a dog. Central location to the city center (shopping), to the beach and enough space for our dog to walk. Rooms well equipped with oven, coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher.

Three days in the Carat Hotel, almost nothing but nice... if the ladies and gentlemen of the Federal Police hadn't been billeted there to protect the G7 Foreign Ministers' Conference. With all due respect for the work and performance of these police officers, behavior and consideration for paying hotel guests are definitely points where training is needed.

Very great apartment hotel, we were here for the second time. Clean, well-appointed and nicely decorated rooms. Very friendly staff. The wellness area is very nice. The massages are also highly recommended.

Beautiful beach hotel with wellness area and apartment house. The location is perfect right on the beach.The rooms in the hotel are beautifully renovated and in great shape. The room size is very good and there is a comfortable seating area in the room. The bathroom with rain shower is small but not cramped. Here too, everything was perfect.I would also like to mention the large wellness area with a large swimming pool and the various saunas. Here too, everything is well maintained and there are enough loungers and fresh towels available. We didn't miss anything.The friendliness of the reception staff, the service in the restaurant and bar as well as the staff who cleaned the rooms must be positively mentioned. This is by no means a given and is not the case everywhere. We felt welcome and would love to come back.

Has the carat been mostly ok in the past? is my impression this time, just a complete rip-off. The apartment is 60-70 € more expensive, 19 €/night parking garage hotel (public parking from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m., is checked, 9 €), 2 saunas broken, towels for the sauna counted out, unfriendly staff, the breakfast buffet about 25 € has discounter quality, that's it, somewhere else next time.

Great apartment. Had the 315 with a side sea view. I could see the sea from the bed. Self-sufficiency was ok. I thought €20 for breakfast was a bit much. Room was really great, well equipped and clean. Gladly again.

Great hotel, modern rooms, at least in the apartment part. Dog and child friendly. Nice pool with sauna and gym. Top location in the town, which apart from the beautiful promenade offers nothing worth seeing except for many architectural sins from the 60s and 70s. Would come again because of the good accommodation.

The rooms are chic but impractical for 3 people. The child sleeps on a sofa. The bed box is full of dirt. We like to sleep with the window open, unfortunately that wasn't possible. Because if you fold out the sofa, you can't open the balcony door. Unfortunately there is no other window to open. Likewise, the child would then lie fully in front of the open window. There is still no window to open in the sleeping area! The kitchen is well equipped. Unfortunately a lot of the cutlery was dirty. There is no dishwashing liquid in the kitchen! A broom in the rooms would have been great. The towels for the sauna and swimming pool are very small. It is advisable to take some with you yourself. The sauna area is only for ages 18 and up. Unfortunately we overlooked this when booking. What I don't think is possible is that there are no mattress protectors on the beds. There was a rubber sheet on one mattress. 😱 All in all a relaxing holiday. We enjoyed Grömitz.

Price for the evening buffet is 20.00 per person, that's not worth it. Otherwise it's great, the staff is very nice and accommodating

We spent two nights in the newly renovated room 401. I hope you can see everything in the pictures and get a good overview. Except for the TV being too small, everything is perfect here. Plus point: You have access to the HDMI port and can therefore connect a Fire TV Stick or Chromecast to the TV.Breakfast also a full 5 stars. Tip: Use the left breakfast room, much quieter, more relaxed and more spacious than the right room.I can fully recommend the Carat.

The apartments are TOP! Large, clean, great furnishings and everything coordinated, everything is available in the kitchenette. We were pleasantly surprised. Had apartment number 211 on the 2nd floor. The view is to the street side.We'd love to come back! It is really recommended if you want to have a nice stay in Grömitz. Although the price was a bit high at first when we entered the apartment, we thought it was justified and didn't think about it anymore.

The Carat in Grömitz is both a hotel and a self-catering guesthouse. I would like to describe our week-long stay as very pleasant and relaxed.The cleanliness throughout the house is exemplary. There is also a fairly large indoor swimming pool, a gym, a restaurant and a bar on site.If the North Sea weather turns out to be unstable, there is always something to do away from the beach, which is only 100 to 150 meters away.Our clear recommendation for a Baltic Sea holiday👍

We stayed in an apartment over the weekend.We were positively surprised by the rooms. They are modern and bright. The kitchen is well equipped.The wellness area is very nicely designed. The outside area of the sauna could be more comfortable. We found the massage and the friendly service at the bar particularly positive (0.5 L Holsten for €1.80 👍).The hotel bar broadcasts football and is nicely decorated.We didn't test the restaurant.The WiFi was very good.We found it difficult to compile the invoice at checkout. Since the apartments do not officially belong to the hotel, they are divided up.All in all we were very satisfied and would like to come back. A clear recommendation.
