The environment and the offerings are really very good. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to leave your lounger, not even to use the toilet. All personal belongings are cleared away immediately, including unfinished drinks. Please communicate this with guests in advance. It's extremely annoying when you have to look for your things.

We had, among other things, booked the theater and musical sauna night. Really great, a great experience in a really chic, very tasteful atmosphere, including all the saunas, vestibules, restaurant and bar...The price is completely justified. Big praise for the well thought-out concept and planning of the entire site.

The "Satama" used to be a place for musing. Today it is impossible to relax on the "Sauna Park" site. On the contrary, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find any place where someone isn't having loud (often surprisingly meaningless) conversations and/or smoking. In addition, for more than a year now, most infusions have only consisted of vast amounts of water vapor. What's that supposed to mean? Does this save heating costs? The walls of the “Theater Sauna” are less than 40°C when you enter (every day, including 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.). The oven there is switched on a maximum of an hour before the infusion. After the “show” it is immediately switched off again. Far too short to heat up the huge room and its walls to establish a real sauna atmosphere. Of course, you have to produce a lot of water vapor so that any heat (from the oven) can be transferred to the guests' skin. The amounts of water vapor put a strain on the body and reach the respiratory tract at far too high temperatures. Anyone who can't tolerate that has "drunk too little" and needs to go to the restaurant (Really?). Because people have internalized the “kind of infusions” so much, the hard-working sauna masters continue to do the same nonsense in the other saunas. Just as! Man! A Finnish sauna consists primarily of the radiant heat that the heated walls give off. Not from water vapor, which is artfully distributed evenly throughout the room. If you wave so that you loosen the layer of air attached to my skin - the insulating adhesive layer: applause. If you create another steam heat kick at the end of the infusion: Okay, but I don't actually need it, I sweat without it. The fact that the whole thing is spiced up with the fact that former German Aufguß masters desperately try to save themselves with infantile humor or that young, committed "Masters of Aufguß" are driven to endanger themselves during the show and consequently injure themselves does not improve these infusions one bit . And I don't relax at all. It doesn't entertain me either. As far as I know, it is considered unhealthy (if not dangerous) to take a sauna on a full stomach or to binge on alcohol between sauna sessions. That's exactly what the offer in the "Satama Sauna Park" is aimed at. It's obviously based on all sorts of things, but not on a health, spa or sauna concept. The fact that you act so Finnish is also silly. You probably know that (sauna-experienced) Finns (i.e. everyone) roll their eyes in disbelief when they see Germans dancing around with aromas and waving towels (by the way, that's the reason why there are no Finnish participants in "infusion championships") gives). You would be more interested in when the sauna stones were last changed, what kind of stones they are and what they sound like. The fact that you believe you could create a Finnish refuge in the "Port of the Wends" at Lake Scharmützelsee (which you absurdly call "Satama") and cultivate Sisu by shouting and clapping, would probably just leave it stoically uncommented (Sisu). You are not a spa (due to lack of health promotion), not a thermal bath (due to lack of spring or deep drilling). You're not even a sauna. No longer. Sorry! The “sauna park” became a “resort”. You're such a strange club now, in which a lot of loud people (some with regular memberships) do a lot of unhealthy, often strange things in good faith, seduced by silly advertising messages. Probably to experience what feels like a “time out”. Very little of it makes sense.

We are now regular guests and come to the event once a year. I'm always quite critical, but my only criticism of the Satama is that the pillow is too hard. We love everything here. The show infusions are always a special eye-catcher. The peace and the wonderful surroundings by the lake are fantastic. The food is good. The rooms are clean, contain everything you need and are right next to the sauna village. The entire environment is very quiet. The saunas are very well maintained. Everything is hygienically perfect. The facility is well maintained. The prices are reasonable, although a bit higher. The combination of sleeping and day entry is particularly worth it. I love the special relaxation rooms, the cozy beds and the cozy blankets provided. Everything is modern and lovingly decorated.

The SATAMA Sauna Resort at Scharmützelsee certainly surprised me on my first visit - both positively and negatively. The whole facility is newly renovated and simply well maintained. A huge sauna area with a total of nine different saunas awaits you on around 6,000 square meters. There really is something for every taste: from the huge outdoor sauna with wood fire to a rustic mine sauna to the cozy dream hut for relaxing infusions. I found the SATAMA Theater particularly exciting, where there are show infusions on the weekend - although they were rather loud and hustle and bustle, more of a “Ballermann feeling” than a quiet wellness oasis. It's probably a little more relaxed during the week, so I'd rather do the next round then. However, the SATAMA is not without price. A day ticket on the weekend costs around 56 euros, and the dishes in the restaurant also made me swallow a bit - a simple meal here starts at 28 euros. The food was delicious, but the prices are quite high compared to other places like Vabali. For wellness lovers and sauna goers, SATAMA is definitely worth a visit. The direct location on Scharmützelsee makes it simply lovely to jump into the lake between sauna sessions or relax in the garden. However, if you're looking for a quiet break, it's probably better to come on a weekday - then you might find more of what I want from a sauna visit: a good dose of peace and relaxation.

The sauna area by the lake is the most beautiful we know. The apartments are ok, but can't keep up with the sauna area.

Sexual harassment in the sauna without consequences for the perpetratorsOn October 19, 2023, I and 2 friends experienced sexual harassment by a group of 6 men at the SATAMA Sauna Resort. The situation happened in the Tuli sauna, where at the time there were only the men's group and the three of us. We were greeted with sexualized and insulting comments about our bodies as soon as we entered the sauna. Our attempts to verbally show the men boundaries (requesting them not to comment on our bodies and to keep their mouths shut) did not result in a change in behavior. We were finally forced to leave the sauna after a short time because the insults from the group and thus the threat scenario became greater and greater. We then immediately contacted local employees. Two male employees tried to talk to the group in the sauna - despite our prediction that the perpetrators would most likely deny and trivialize everything. After about 5 minutes they came out and then we had to endure all the “classic” perpetrator-victim reversal. We were asked what had happened, whether we had perhaps misunderstood it, both sides had to be looked at, there had now been a “yellow card” for the men but nothing could be done about the first incident and that was it nothing physical happened either. A discussion was pointless, we demanded that the next highest superior be involved, during which an attempt was made to appease us with a “drink on the house”, the superior also supported the opinion of the other employees and so it was accepted that that we leave the sauna because our safety could not be guaranteed and it is of course “more convenient” than expelling 6 drunk men from the sauna. It became clear: SATAMA has no concept for such situations and bringing in the staff, from whom we had hoped for support, only made the situation worse. After many years, this was my last visit to this facility.

Absolute disaster. You wait 2 hours for food. You can't do infusions because it's too full. Staff very unfriendly.
