We stayed in this great hotel for 4 days. It wasn't our first stay in the Sonnenburg and it won't be our last either. We had a very nice time.

Anyone for whom sleeping is part of their vacation will be disappointed here, because everyday work with vacuuming (on hard floors, which is considerably louder than on carpet) regularly wakes you up at around 7 …

Many thanks to the entire team at the hotel. We spent a whole week in the Sonnenburg and were always looked after and served attentively in an extremely polite and friendly manner by everyone. Varied cuisine (regional! Portions depending on your wishes!). It's great that attention is paid to avoiding food waste and saving energy, which guests also implement. There was always enough for everyone. Adjusting the opening times of the spa area in bad weather and increasing the water temperature of the sensational rooftop pool to 30 degrees. Very guest oriented. The entire hotel area is very clean and well-kept, tastefully and high-quality furnished. Simply to feel good and come back. One of us was there for the third time. The special request (birthday flowers in the room at the reception) was implemented perfectly: a beautiful and perfectly fresh bouquet! Thank you again and please “keep it up”.

We have been guests at the Sonnenburg several times in the last two years and have always been very satisfied. The food is regional, seasonal and very varied even during a longer stay. Friendly and attentive staff in service and at reception, with helpful tips for excursions and day planning. We will definitely come back and can only recommend the Sonnenburg.

We cannot recommend the hotel in good conscience.We know it so that you are accompanied to your room. The pure explanations were rather poor.Everything is very clean, but the website promises more. Baked rolls for breakfast - I don't mind, but half way through breakfast the basket is almost empty? The evening menu: Some salads are often too mayonnaise-heavy. The main course: Why are vegetable side dishes often offered as cream? There are mountaineering portions - we had one and a normal one... the difference: visually about 40 grams more meat. The desserts were very tasty and appealing. None of the dishes were as beautifully presented as on the website. We mean: no 4-star cuisine!The spa area is clean and there are nice saunas. However, the infinity pool on the roof was only heated to 24°C - so it couldn't be used when the outside temperature was around single-digit plus degrees.The staff was consistently friendly. But as already mentioned, when the boss eats with you in the dining room in the evening, you would have liked a friendly smile or a question if everything was okay.

Fantastic hotel.We spent a week in the hotel as a couple (+dog) and were more than satisfied all around.A very nice hotel with everything your heart desires: great rooms, very good and varied food, very chic wellness area, the breathtaking pool, underground parking, great location and view, restaurant and terrace, sun terrace, bus stop directly in front of the hotel (bus ticket included ...) ... etc..But above all: exclusively nice and courteous people in all areas of the hotel, who are happy to answer any request or question. We felt well looked after and will be happy to come back.

We spent a lovely week in the beautiful Kleinwalsertal and enjoyed the beautiful nature to the fullest. The hotel has an impressive history, the rooms are very nice and spacious, and the bathroom offers a lot of space.The breakfast is extensive and offers everything you could wish for. The gourmet half board is tasty and the staff is very friendly.The evening buffet once a week may still have room for improvement, but that's probably a matter of taste. How you actually present and offer a specially advertised dessert buffet might need to be reconsidered, as this will stick with the guest and contribute to their well-being.We live very sustainably and are therefore very pleased that the hotel also attaches great importance to this. If you forgo the cleaning service, you will receive a free voucher for a drink. In a double room? Ok, you can do it that way, but maybe you don't have to. And then only in a limited time and then limited to a glass of blackcurrant spritz or elderberry spritz. That's very annoying. Our suggestion is to write this offer on the voucher straight away, then you'll know what to expect and won't be disappointed.The rude, lecturing behavior of a service staff can also be attributed to everyone's personal feelings. The rest of the staff is very friendly and accommodating. At checkout everything worked quickly and smoothly. We left a generous tip for the employees' fund, which didn't impress the manager of the house and didn't even think it was worth saying goodbye, let alone wishing us a safe journey home. It's actually a shame.

No recommendation.Very nice house, modern, clean. Rooftop pool with a view. Spa with strange opening times, never in the morning and also closes very early in the evening.Marketing claim: sustainability. That's good. You can indicate that the room does not need to be cleaned daily and receive a voucher for this. Good idea, but the (undisclosed) value is ridiculous.Hospitality: not a single positive surprise the whole week. The exact opposite of warm hospitality. The boss finds it difficult to say hello.You don't feel like a guest, but rather like a nuisance. It's a shame, because it's exactly this kind of hospitality that makes the difference between being recommended or not

House tastefully furnished with attention to detail. Very nice infinity pool and wellness area! The food was delicious, the service was helpful and friendly everywhere, whether cleaning, restaurant, reception! The connection with a bus stop in front of the house was great! We felt very comfortable and would love to come back!

We had a wonderful weekend! The absolute highlight was the infinity pool, which we used extensively, it's a shame that the wellness area and pool close at 8 p.m. 😞 the rooms are a bit small, there's little opportunity to hang towels and bathing suits to dry, unfortunately we had a wasp's nest on our little balcony, which we therefore didn't use it! We were lucky with wonderful summer weather, which makes up for it! The view all around… soooo beautiful!!! Breakfast was great… the fact that you can use the bus and cable cars for free is of course also great! So we'll be back 🩷

Impossible, the reviews gave it 1 out of 5 stars. I'm wondering if this lady was actually at the Hotel Sonnenburg. We arrived and felt at home. Pure enjoyment, location, facilities, service, everything was top.

A really great hotel. The rooms are large, the beds are very comfortable and the floor-to-ceiling windows provide a view of the mountains. The rooftop infinity pool and sauna invite you to relax after hikes. Both breakfast and dinner leave nothing to be desired. And the staff are so friendly and approachable, you really feel welcome. Thank you, we'll be back.

We stayed at the Hotel Sonnenburg for a long weekend and felt completely at home. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, and the evening menu was also excellent!! The wellness and spa area offers plenty of space and opportunities to relax. The highlight is the infinity pool on the roof!We will be back!
