Since I only visited the restaurant, I can only rate this one.The atmosphere was very nice, quiet and cozy. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was down to earth, definitely filling and the price was reasonable.Happy to come back!

We booked for just one night at short notice and were thrilled the whole time.The Bauer family has been running this hotel for the second generation and does so with love.The restaurant cooked vegan food for me (which still requires experience), but I was satisfied that my request was taken into account.The room was clean, nicely furnished and quiet.The breakfast was plentiful and I also found something.We're already planning another visit, so we'd love to come back.

For Father's Day weekend we went to the Waldrestaurant Johannesruh for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised by the ambience, idyllic and quiet in the middle of nature. There is a small but fine menu with an additional seasonal menu (asparagus season). The chef knows his craft and preparing the dishes is a feast for the eyes.The new boss and her team try very hard to pamper their guests. We would love to come back...

We went to the Waldrestaurant Johannesruh for Easter brunch. We were warmly welcomed by the new owner. The food was very tasty and there was a lot of it. The Easter bunny was also there. The little ones had fun. The guests also received a little surprise when they said goodbye. We would love to come back.

We went for Easter brunch and there are 5 ++++ stars..Food was very plentiful and very good…Service was great..Every child was allowed to look for Easter presents outside.Every guest got a little surprise...A big thank you to Fam.Bauer for this.Rooms in the hotel have been renovated…Nice terrace to relax...We can recommend it with a clear conscience and we would be happy to come back…

On the occasion of our silver honeymoon, we discovered the JOHANNESRUH during our vacation. With the boss, Ms. Bauer, the spontaneous preliminary discussion of our “dinner in the closest family circle” project was completely uncomplicated. Our very special request for “iodine-free food” was also taken into account.We were very positively surprised with a beautifully set table, a special greeting from the house and the poetic talent of the boss.The game menu and also the naturally grilled Rostbrätle were balanced and very tasty.We found the outdated ambience to be very rustic, lovingly furnished and individual.Our service staff was extremely attentive and always explained the course sequence.We cannot provide any information about the rooms due to the lack of overnight accommodation.All in all: A great evening - befitting the occasion - that we will remember fondly.

Top location and a hard-working owner couldn't make up for the many small inadequacies that marred the stay. Here is a small excerpt: thick duvets in summer, beds felt clammy, wallpaper was peeling off the walls, nothing could be seen on the remote control, drinking glasses were missing in the room, the benches in front of the inns were dirty. It is clearly visible that this hotel is getting old. The price-performance ratio wasn't right at all!
