Beautiful location, the landscape is beautiful in the Bavarian forest, the campsite is in the middle of it, on the other side of the main road is the quartz fault line "der großer pfal" here you can take a nice circular walk. And quite passable for beginners. The center of Viechtach is also quite a stone's throw away, so quite close. The campsite has a restaurant, swimming pool, laundry and shop where you can order fresh sandwiches for the next day until 6:00 PM. The facilities are quite small and simple, but present. There is also a playground for children. We had one of the log cabins as accommodation, very nice, cozy and cozy. Negatives: There was no dishwasher or vacuum cleaner. There was a very large table on the veranda, which made it difficult to sit there. The bathroom floor was very slippery. Positives: It was very clean upon arrival. The basics of kitchen utensils were present.

We were there during the fall holidays (RLP).Unfortunately it was deserted, so there was nothing for children either. The craft/play room was always closed.Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend the place for children. The swimming pool was ok, otherwise a large pool wouldn't be the case (maybe have some swimming accessories ready). Some days also a bit cold. The location of the place is good because there are many excursion options and you can also do some quick shopping.Price performance okay, staff was always friendly when you saw someone.

We took a short break as a family for 5 days here. Location is very good for numerous and diverse and varied excursions. The accommodation was well located and the facilities were completely sufficient. It was rustic and cozy in the Jägerpark. Gladly again 👍

We really liked the Knaus Campingpark Viechtach, the whole campsite team is very helpful, competent and friendly. The sanitary buildings are a bit older but everything is super clean and well maintained. We'd love to come back.

We were at an external event at the campsite last weekend. The place has had a new tenant for four years who is trying to restore the somewhat run-down place. Corona slowed him down a bit.The place needs a lot of work as it is already very old.The pitches themselves are grass pitches and when we arrived on Friday our mobile immediately sank. Better underground fastening should be considered. In order to be freed from the situation, you have to sign a piece of paper stating that you will be responsible for any damage caused. If not, you have to get stuck. On the one hand that is understandable, but unfortunately the disgruntled tone of the lady behind the reception is not, but 0 points for that. The sanitary facilities also urgently need to be overhauled. There is also a WiFi password, but it only works near reception apparently. At our place only 40%. There needs to be improvements there too. All in all, there is still a lot of room for improvement.

Internet very bad, almost not there. Sanitary facilities outdated. The place is slightly terraced, right next to the post. Location good, unfortunately space outdated. Good hiking trails nearby. …

We stopped here for one night. The service staff was super nice, the sanitary facilities were clean but a bit old.The campsite is super dog-friendly, we also had a fenced-in parking space, unfortunately all the dog parking spaces are next to each other, so it got pretty loud at times.

We went camping there for the first and last time this summer. We arrived at 12.50pm on the day of arrival. Check in 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Reception locked. Nobody to be found. When someone came at 1:30 p.m., they said rudely that they had already worked half an hour longer and that we should wait until 3:00 p.m. We came with four children, including a baby. When we asked if we could at least have some warm water for a bottle, we were told we should go to the campsite and ask other campers or go to the washhouse. At 3 p.m. registration is finally possible, takes all of 5 minutes. Then off to our place, total disappointment. Hillside location, roots everywhere, the fence broken and the gate only fixed with wire. Didn't stop our one year old. After four conversations with reception, it was possible to move to another parking space the next day. So we dismantled everything again and took the car to the next spot (200m away) even though the neighboring spot was free. Rebuild. And all this with four children. The leisure activities offered did not take place all week. All rooms were locked and no one could give you any information.Restaurant was only open once. Otherwise always closed at short notice, without prior information. This is in the middle of the summer holidays and during the European Championships. For us it's very clear: NEVER AGAIN.Staff: unfriendly and uncooperativeOur email from the operator Knaus wasn't even responded to.

We went there for the first time with our caravan. We booked a dog comfort pitch L (room rating used for this) as it is completely surrounded by a fence. This meant that our two dogs could easily run around the pitch without a leash. The space is large (approx. 100 m²), but there is also a larger one (approx. 130 m²). The staff were all nice and very accommodating. The pizza in the saloon was also very tasty. All in all it was a great holiday and we would love to come back.
