We are guests here with our 3 grandchildren. Our grandchildren are happy to have a large fleet of vehicles and use it a lot. Everything is available for us in the holiday apartment. The host gave us great tips.

We spent a week on vacation at the Grethof and were very satisfied. The yard is very clean and child-friendly, there are lots of cars and play equipment available. Of course these are no longer the newest but are still in reasonable condition. The apartment is very well equipped. The size of the room depends on what you book.If you have any questions, Mr. Brütt is available at any time.We felt very comfortable and would recommend this farm to others.

Very nice host, helpful on all topics. The farm is absolutely designed for profit, there are toys for the children, the condition is very dilapidated. We measure jumping time on the trampoline with a stopwatch...incomprehensible to me. Even if the farm children are allowed a little longer than the visitors. Room was very clean, but felt like you were in an IKEA department store. Beds and mattresses are more than worn out. Location is very quiet, very little traffic, good connection to the bike path and the city center. Just don't let yourself be annoyed by the train that stops at the unguarded level crossing every time it passes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Hello dear readers, we spent our 2023 summer vacation on the Grethof with the Brütt family and I would like to list the positive and negative sides in my review. It is a holiday farm and no childcare, some parents forgot that when we were there...I give it 4 out of 5 stars because unfortunately it wasn't quite enough for 5 stars, but you can see that below with the cons, now let's start with the positives.Pros:- Lots of toys and play options for the children. The toy is very well cared for and works, there was definitely some wear and tear, but when you see how some children handle it, it's no wonder.- The apartments are very new and modernly furnished and are sufficient for a holiday, but one more shelf or chest of drawers would be better. Instructions, for example for the extractor hood or inventory list (where is what) would be perfect.- The beds are quite new and the mattresses are quite comfortable.- The location is very remote from tourism and you have peace and quiet here.- The Brütt family is very nice and listens to problems and finds a solution.- The beds are already made and you can fall in to sleep straight away. The beds are also very comfortable and not cheap junkNeutral:- Rooms not properly thought out, there are no hooks to hang up your towels and bath clothes to dry, even in the kitchen you can't hang up the towels provided.- Kitchen equipment was very poor, our pan was more of a ball and you could only cook with it to a limited extent.- Parking spaces are very muddy due to the rain and not enough when all apartments are rented.- The riding takes place at the Rolfs sheep farm, unfortunately there was some communication/misunderstandings in the first week, after that it actually worked.Cons:- We had no hot water for 2 days and I had to take a cold shower, a no-go especially for the children, but the problem was solved very quickly by the owner.- When registering, it is stated that a washing machine is available for use, but the fact that this costs €5 per session is not mentioned anywhere, so we had packed very little laundry.- Only small towels are provided and no large ones for showering; the registration states that you must bring your own beach and sauna towels. PLEASE CHANGE- The WiFi is actually very good, but in the evening when everyone logs on to Netflix it becomes critical. In addition, a FritzBox 7490 is not suitable for this number of devices; a FritzBox 7590 or 7590 AX would help. The 7490 came onto the market in 2013 and processes the orders one after the other, the 7590 is newer and, thanks to supervectoring, processes all orders at the same time.- Since the tracks run 100m in front of the Grethof, you can hear the train, which is really annoying. But when the train comes from Büsum, the train honks 90% of the time, this applies early in the morning, but also in the evening, sometimes for a long time, sometimes for a short time, a pattern is difficult to recognize here. I suspect the lure leader has some problems with the guests. Here the owner should contact Bahn and talk about it.- On the day of departure you have to be out of the apartment by 9:00 a.m. I think that's very early, especially with children. I've been around a lot and it was usually always 10:00 or 11:00.

We stayed at the Grethof as a family for a week and felt comfortable. The apartment was clean, tidy and well equipped. The contact with the landlords was friendly. There are several options for keeping the children busy; However, there are limitations to billiards because not all balls are available. We were irritated by the fact that a large amount (100 EUR) is due for the final cleaning, but you still have to hand over the apartment swept clean with the beds removed and the rubbish taken away. You can also read in the information folder what costs are incurred for incomplete cleaning, broken objects (glass, plates, etc.) and what a late arrival and departure costs. What also bothered us is that we didn't have a terrace on the apartment (12) as advertised and that the advertised voucher for the labyrinth was only a discount.

The search for the perfect holiday home continues...We (2 adults, 3 children, a dog) spent a week at the Grethof during the autumn holidays and are now back home.Basically we had a nice vacation. The children were outside and always had something to play with (there is a huge car park and play equipment and other holiday children).Satisfied children are half the battle. We also really like Dithmarschen in general and Büsum in particular.Nevertheless, there were a few negative little things, but all in all they mean that we cannot give an unqualified recommendation.- Beds are incredibly uncomfortable. Very thin, soft mattresses, so that you feel like you are lying directly on the slatted frame. In addition, the beds squeaked and creaked very loudly. Even under the weight of our very light 5 year old daughter.I got up at 6:30 a.m. every day, simply because I couldn't lie down anymore.- Even on the sofa you could feel every wooden slat in your back and the chairs (wooden, short seat) didn't invite you to long game evenings.- we would have liked fly screens on the windows. Late October and we were all very stung. Nobody can do anything about mosquitoes, but fly screens would be great- our apartment was very damp. In the morning there was water on all the windows and it smelled really damp and musty. We tried to fight it, but had no chance.Even our clothes in the closets were clammy at the end of the vacation- the pool table was not usable. Completely crooked and balls incomplete.-Advertised activities (according to the website "if there are enough children" - there were at least 9 children on the farm at the time) such as trekking, barbecue evening, boules championship, etc. did not take place at all without comment. So in summary:It's clean, well-equipped kitchen, good water pressure and lots of freedom in the yard and the kids had a great time. Great location, you can quickly walk to a pony farm with a great farm cafe or to the bakery and shops for your daily needs. But the above points tend to tip the balance downwards for us.
