Very nice shady beer garden, always a free parking space. Good bratwursts as well as the rest. Located at the foot of the Altenburg. It's also worth going up for digestion. It's not far to walk and very beautiful!!! I'm from Bbg.

Quietly located a little outside. Easy to reach the city center on foot or by bus. Hotel restaurant nice atmosphere. Beer garden and live music. Rooms are partly showing their age. But everything was very clean. Very nice boss

Booking and room allocation are totally uncomplicated. The inn is getting old, which could be optimized with a little attention to detail and a few simple steps, for example creating order.The rooms/shower in the new building were clean and the beds were fine. The dining room looks original, cozy and inviting, and the food we ordered was very good. The service staff, a nice young man, served us very friendly and attentively. Thanks for that!The breakfast is disappointing, unloving, unappealing and sparsely prepared....., could be improved...., as is well known, the eye eats too.The shortage of skilled workers is also noticeable here, (not only) in the breakfast room the window sills or the floor under the tables have been properly cleaned, there is still a lot of room for improvement.Our conclusion was that overall, with a lot of tolerance, it was okay.

Very nice rooms, clean and functional and very quiet... the boss is on site and very nice and helpful!!!It's a must to eat at the inn. Great value for money and the service there is also very friendly and attentive!Gladly again

Our room had a terrace, everything was cozy and clean. On Saturdays there was live music in the beer garden. The price-performance ratio of the breakfast was good. The landlord was very friendly, we felt comfortable and will come back. There is a playground for children.

This hotel gets the benefit of the doubt from me.The location is excellent, quiet in the residential area on the edge of the forest. From the hotel you have the opportunity to take a nice walk via the Altenburg castle to the center of Bamberg. There is also a bus that runs twice an hour, so you have the choice.The hotel also looks a bit messy, both outside and inside. It would make such a difference if there was a little tidying up and cleaning. The room was clean and simple, excellent bed and bathroom. The staff was just okay, nothing too much and nothing too little. Friendly and helpful.Beer fine, wine not okay. Food fine, not a large menu but enough choice. Parking behind the hotel. Bus stop 250m from the hotel. No elevator.Breakfast is fine, no excessive quantities but a bread basket of cheese, sausage and sweets. Yoghurt, eggs, juices and ... good Frühstückscafe.

Highly recommended! We have been here many times and have not only felt very welcome, but also always look forward to the excellent food. The cheesecake is second to none!The area is just the right mix of idyllic location and close enough to Bamberg for excursions.The personal approach, the family and child-friendly atmosphere and the cozy rooms made every visit a wonderful one.We will be back definitely!

I have been coming to this friendly country inn regularly for more than 30 years. During my last stay I had a great room in the new building with a large, barrier-free bathroom and TV. Everything was tip top and clean. Large breakfast buffet and good Franconian food. I particularly look forward to the cheesecake, although unfortunately the recipe is not revealed.Wildensorg is a good start for trips to Bamberg city center. Certainly not a place for “Schicky Micky”, but ideal for families (our daughter always fondly remembers the visits to the Heerlein family).Will definitely come back!

Hey, we recently went to the Landgasthof Heerlein and thought it was great.We are originally from the region and the beer garden is in a great location, which is quiet but still has a good connection to the center. You basically have the choice between nature and the city.The inn is lovingly, rustically furnished, you feel absolutely comfortable and at home and the innkeeper is a helpful person and was able to give me good insider tips about the region.All in all, it was a successful long weekend and we will definitely be back!Kind regards, greetings from Adrian

Unfortunately very disappointing. The room number 8 was small, old and what really bothered us, very dirty. Dust and cobwebs everywhere. The shower was so moldy that we first sprayed a huge amount of disinfectant on it. Luckily we both had bathing shoes with us. The whole country inn was untidy and dingy. In the restaurant there were dead insects on the window sills, and there was pure chaos on the counter and the cupboard behind it. All in all, pure chaos on the entire property.The owner doesn't seem to care about anything. He almost always sat with the customers, drinking and smoking heavily.The breakfast was ok.The location is also ok too. To get to Bamberg you can use the bus, although it runs very rarely. Or you can run or cycle over the mountain (approx. 2.5km).No points awarded for rooms and service. Just for the location, because Wildensorg is a cute little town from which you can easily go hiking or cycling.In our opinion, the price-performance ratio of the Landgasthofen Heerlein is miserable

The landlord has everything under control, the breakfast makes you smile, it's the same every day. Once there was one tomato for 10 guests and then it was a party. WHY ? it was quartered into 4 pieces....

Very nice country inn located in nature.Very quiet, good air.We had a room with two windows and a large daylight bathroom, clean and renovated with a large shower.Normally we both get back pain after the first night in the hotel bed, which wasn't the case here, we were able to sleep wonderfully with the window open.The breakfast buffet was rich with service from the super nice owner.Another plus point: enough parking spaces directly at the house.We can't understand the negative reviews - if you want a stylish 5-star atmosphere with a reception and luggage carrier, you should go to a corresponding star hotel.The inn is not open on Mondays and Tuesdays, so we cannot comment on this.

A beautifully located country inn just outside the city center of Bamberg. The room was nicely decorated and clean, the bathroom was relatively new with a large walk-in shower. Very nice and courteous owner, as are the rest of the staff. Generous breakfast and enough parking spaces available.I can also recommend the restaurant, large portions, very tasty, at fair prices.
