This café is located somewhat out of the way and rather inconspicuous. I quickly walk past and don't notice what a special gem is behind the door.The tarts and cakes, pastries and tarts are displayed in such a representative way that a lot of interest is aroused here alone. And once my selection is in front of me and I can start eating it, I am quickly convinced of the quality. A selection of teas and coffees complements this so that everyone has their own combination.This is rounded off by the courteous service, which also seems to be lived here, and the overall ambience. Feeling good and enjoying go hand in hand here - anyone in Bamberg should put this high on their list and see for themselves. Clear recommendation from me.Thanks to everyone involved, it was really great with you!

Our wedding cake was not only an absolute eye-catcher, but also incredibly delicious 🥰 Heidi implemented all of our wishes and conjured up a vegan wedding cake for us that also scored points with skeptical omnis! 😍 Thank you very much for the pleasant advice, the great service and your openness to creating such works of art in vegan form 🫶

Wonderfully central location and yet quiet. You can sit very comfortably and watch the walkers, drink a special tea or café and try a delicacy. Great! The petits fours were delicious 🙃

Thank you so much for our wonderful wedding cake!! ❤️Not only was it incredibly beautiful, it was also super tasty, we and our guests were thrilled 😊The preparatory meeting was super relaxed, our wishes and ideas were immediately taken into account, a plan was developed together from our ideas and implemented perfectly. The coordination by email and the delivery also worked excellently. Gladly again for the next celebration :)

Two fantastic cakes (a small pie with pear and almond and a piece of nut cream pie) and two good cups of black coffee. Cozy seating area inside also possible to sit outside.

A really great selection of cakes and cakes and cookies. We would have loved to try them all, they looked so delicious.It turned out to be the Sacher and chocolate cream cakes and we can recommend them without reservation. Also the cappuccino and d. Hot chocolates were great. Very good confectionery art!Very nice staff too.Many thanks to the entire team!

We ordered our wedding cake from Heidi and were absolutely thrilled with the result! I had previously brought her a photo of a cake that I saw on Google and fell in love with - Heidi really nailed it and added the flavors we had chosen beforehand. All three tiers of the cake tasted fantastic and were super popular with people (although apparently everyone was already full, haha). It was just perfect!! Thank you very much for that! ♥

We stopped in for coffee and an afternoon treat after our walking tour of town. We were able to get cappuccinos with soy milk and delicious pastries. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming.

An institution in BambergThe review only refers to the café itself, which has been delivering very good quality for many years (decades). Here you can find the finest tarts, cakes and many special delicacies, such as the Domhörnchen (or Domhörnla, as the Bambergers say).

Heartfelt recommendation 🧁For our wedding in midsummer, we chose cakes and cakes for coffee and cake and a sweet table with individual small items and were looking for a pastry chef from whom we could order and pick up. We chose the Café am Dom because we liked the modern, delicate style on Instagram (their wedding cakes also look great!) The coordination in advance was extremely pleasant. I always had direct contact with lovely Heidi from the bakery. She responded very well to my wishes (taste, colors, etc) and gave me the best possible advice.At the end we had a fresh selection of fine chocolates, tartlets, brwownies, cupcakes, mini cupcakes and macarons. The fact that we were given this great selection even though we didn't feed very many guests is a luxury!I'm a gifted baker myself (I've already baked our wedding cake myself and wanted to have the sweet table designed according to my high expectations) and I'm overwhelmed!We had to transport the particles for another hour in the summer. They were packed very well for transport so everything was fresh and looked great!I would do it the same way again and choose it!Unfortunately, we don't come from Bamberg ourselves, so we rarely go there privately. But I can give a huge recommendation from the bottom of my heart ❤️
