I can't rate the rooms, I was only there for dinner (the options in Kaub are very limited on Tuesdays).Dinner is very uncomplicated and may have surprises in store. There is no menu, what is served is whatever is on site (e.g. grilled currywurst with homemade curry sauce, tomato salad and bread rolls). There is no shortage of drinks either.Absolutely unbeatable in terms of price/performance (for a blue ticket I was full and well drunk).Conclusion: It is pretty much the alternative to the “Zu Turm” hotel. If you are not prepared to get involved in Anke's very unpretentious style, another restaurant is recommended (as I said, the selection is limited on Tuesdays). However, I would like to come back when I get the chance.

As always, it was really nice with Anke's friends. She cooked us something delicious, drinks were ice cold and the atmosphere was very relaxed. See you next time

We haven't experienced such a bad hotel for a long time, when we arrived the landlady Stetnhagel was full. She couldn't go up the old wooden stairs to get us a room. The room was run down and the bed was screwed together. Shower with toilet, better storage room. We quickly went out and looked for another hotel. When we came back to get our things, the landlady was lying outside at an arrival point with a bottle of beer in her hand. We've already traveled a lot in Germany, but we still have something like that not experienced.

The landlady greeted us with a flag and posture difficulties, the check-in was rather complicated and we were about to leave. Apparently there is excessive smoking in the bar, and you can smell it everywhere.We then found our room on our own, it was very clean and spacious, but not very inviting. The mattress was good.We looked after ourselves elsewhere in the evening.At breakfast the landlady was very friendly and accommodating. Coffee was great, the selection at the buffet was sufficient for us. But the price-performance ratio is by no means correct.The location right next to the train speaks for itself and is no reason to complain - but the house is far from soundproof.

Very nice hotel, but there is no restaurant anymore. But there is a very nice breakfast and the bar area is also a wonderful place to end the evening. We had a wonderful room. Very clean and nicely decorated. For people who are not good on foot, you should know that there is no elevator. We were very satisfied.If we are in the area again we would definitely go to this hotel again.

Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the hospitality because the hotel was closed on the day we arrived. This seems to have happened to some of the guests before us.

The apartment (attic) was clean and well maintained. Unfortunately there was no WiFi connection on the top floor and the TV didn't work. The bathroom was a bit narrow; for people taller than 1.80m, the shower becomes a challenge due to the low ceiling height. The water pressure and temperature were surprisingly good. The owners were nice and uncomplicated, we liked the breakfast.

Our rooms on the 3rd floor were accessible via a borderline steep staircase.||The two double rooms at least had a shower room for people of short stature.||The single room had neither a bathroom nor a TV. …

A very comfortable place to stay. The rooms are clean and the atmosphere is relaxed. You quickly feel at home here. I have been here many times over the years and would like to come back in the future.

They are very nice people. The rooms and breakfast are correct. The biggest drawback is the continuous noise of the trains that pass continuously, even at night.

Simple but neat and cozy place to spend the night. The room overlooking the Rhine also has the noise of the trains that pass by every five minutes.
