I stayed in this lovely little hotel with my two children during our hike on the Rheinsteig. The welcome from the owner was very warm; we immediately felt welcome. The rooms are lovingly and individually furnished, the bed is comfortable and everything is clean. There was even a little surprise for the children, which was very well received. The breakfast the next morning (rolls, cold cuts, muesli, yoghurt, fruit and vegetables) was varied, fresh and tasty. We felt very comfortable in all respects and if we are ever in the area again, we would be happy to come back.

On a hike around St. Goarshausen we found many clues about the mill. So I ran downstairs to have a look at this restaurant. The path there was already very overgrown. On site: the mill/hotel/restaurant is closed, there is a for sale sign on the house next to it. So, we laboriously climb the mountain again to continue on our way.The place is quite nice, shady,

The room was booked for me by a travel company as part of a walking trip. For me it was the last hotel in a series of four, and the only one that did not meet expectations.Fortunately, I had seen in advance in the reviews that the hotel no longer has a restaurant, because due to its location well outside and above Sankt Goarshausen, it would have been a big disappointment if I had only heard upon arrival that I had to go down again for dinner. and later, at dusk, should have gone back up along a road or along an unlit path.Due to the remote location, an honesty bar would have been nice, so I could have treated myself to something tasty on the last evening of my walking tour. Now I had to make do with a bottle of sparkling water. The room was tidy, the bathroom was in desperate need of a makeover. The hotel is quite noisy, for example flushing toilets in neighboring rooms. The breakfast was substandard: cheap sausage and ditto sliced cheese, only white rolls, no whole wheat bread.Check-in was only possible between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.I understand that the hospitality at this hotel has been highly regarded in the past. Unfortunately, I now got the impression that the owner is a bit fed up with his hotel (there was a large 'Zu Kaufen' banner on the building)

Were here for a concert. The hotel has a very good location and is close to the open-air theater. The town's manageable pedestrian zone is also easily accessible on foot. The furnishings and general design are very authentic and in keeping with the Loreley.Super friendly owner! The check-in was super comfortable. Unfortunately, on the second day, which was also the rest day, we locked ourselves out of the room. The owner came back early from a family meeting in the evening to get us out of the unfortunate situation. Thank you again for that! On the day of departure, only my friend and I booked breakfast and yet everything was beautifully presented.I can only warmly recommend this hotel to all Loreley holidaymakers!

The room was a bit dated but OK and clean. There was access to the street, but it is rather quiet and you can mainly hear the sound of the water. The breakfast was very poor for the price (125€ with tourist tax!) - filter coffee, sliced cheese, cheap sausage, no sliced fruit as shown on the website.Unfortunately, there are no restaurants anymore and you have to check in by 8 p.m., so as a cyclist/hiker you have to go up and down the mountain a few times. The reception was nice but overall we were disappointed with the value for money.

Very nice little hotel on the Rheinsteig. Rooms clean and beds comfortable. Good breakfast to strengthen you before the next stage. Nice owner. Idyllic outdoor terrace where we could order a glass of wine and freshly tapped beer and enjoy the last rays of sunshine of the day. Unfortunately no more food. Many greetings from Anhalt

Unfortunately, there hasn't been an opportunity to eat something here in the evening for some time now. Previous reviews had stated this and we were disappointed. However, we can understand the host's reasons. So the hiker has to go down to the town to eat...
