I was in the Bundspecht house for several days. I had a clean, spacious room, I was able to sleep very well on the mattresses (which is usually difficult for me). The food was varied, Mr. Schulte-Huermann also implemented other requests directly and was very helpful. Thank you!

A great house in the countryside with a rather rustic charm. Perfect for our rehearsal weekend - undisturbed rehearsals in a hospitable setting with fresh, delicious food. I liked it very much!

I had a great week of further training at Haus Buntspecht. The house owner is very attentive and always looks after the well-being of his guests. You can feel very comfortable in the house. Especially in the fireplace room you can sit comfortably together in the evening. It's not a state-of-the-art facility, but that's exactly what makes this cozy half-timbered house so charming. The food was very tasty every day, freshly prepared and varied. All intolerances, allergies, etc. were always taken into account. In my room the sink was outside the bathroom. This was very unusual at the beginning and a little inconvenient at times. I saw some of my fellow participants' rooms. There are big differences and some of them are really beautiful and large rooms. But nothing can be changed about the spatial conditions for the rooms. Towels and bed linen were available. The house was always clean.I would love to come back!

I felt very comfortable in Haus Buntspecht. The location is beautiful and invites you to explore. My two highlights: From the house you can see a chapel on a mountain that you can reach on foot. The view from the top is beautiful. You can also reach Lake Sorpe, which is a great place to go for a walk, in about 15 minutes by car (and I drive slowly). My room was well furnished, clean and there was plenty of towels/bed linen. I just wish there was a power outlet in the bathroom. There were enough in the bedroom. But I was particularly impressed by the cozy fireplace room, which was used frequently and with pleasure. The food was varied and very tasty. Our friendly host conjured up several fresh menus every day - both meat-based, vegan and vegetarian dishes. He adjusted to all communicated preferences as well as intolerances/allergies and tried to accommodate all wishes. Thanks for that! Conclusion: I would love to come back.

We spent our annual family reunion at Haus Buntspecht from July 8th to 10th. It was a very successful weekend. Mr. Schulte-Huermann spoiled us with excellent vegetarian food and also catered to all of our requests. We immediately booked again for next year.

Large house with fireplace, table football and garden sauna. The room furnishings are a bit thrown together, but the bottom line is a great house
