This was our last accommodation during our 13-day cycle trip from Prague to Magdeburg. We felt most comfortable in this inn compared to the other accommodations (which were still good). Above all, the food is highly recommended - simply delicious and absolutely worth the price. We'd love to come back.

It was recommended and we would have been very happy to eat the dunghill [that's what a schnitzel dish is called), we went there with 3 people at 1 p.m. and we were turned away because everything is occupied and they close at 2 p.m. So I think it's very friendly to welcome your guests like that, so that's not how you get new customers

We celebrated our daughter's graduation there and were absolutely thrilled. The hall was festively prepared, the buffet was great, the service was super quick and friendly. Can only be recommended.

This time the diamond wreath was a big disappointment!It's tradition to eat a pile of dung when we pass by Barby.Same on June 16, 24.We reached the restaurant at 1:20 p.m.Opening hours on Sundays until 3:00 p.m.The service staff welcomed us brusquely. I don't want to complain, but... The rooms are very small, at least the single rooms in the house Ursula, the building next door. But a warning to all people with walking difficulties. Unfortunately, neither the main house nor the side house is suitable for walkers or wheelchairs. No elevator nothing. All rooms can only be reached via steep stairs. The stairs creak and crash, you can always hear people going up and down. Once you somehow make it into the room, the next problem in the bathroom is the high showers. No wardrobes. Wooden shelves screwed together crookedly, they would have tipped over if they weren't also attached to the wall. Also the bed under a sloping roof. But I couldn't sleep in that bed anyway. In general, everything needs to be renewed. It can't be due to the occupancy. All rooms were always occupied. At least from what I've seen. The desk is OK at first glance but also wobbly. The restaurant's food is OK, but unfortunately it is also closed when there is a celebration in the hall. Although most of the people celebrating got their drinks themselves at the bar, the furnishings in the restaurant were also old and worn out. But the service is friendly simple but friendly. Breakfast is also ok. In general you can make a short stay if you are good on foot. The service and the food still get 3 stars. Of course, the first impression always counts. When you come in to get the keys and a few meters away the chef is sitting at the table next to an ashtray and the smell of smoke doesn't exactly make the best impression.

I stayed in this inn for two days as part of a bike tour. I booked at short notice and had to make do with the last room in the top floor. It was hot those days, and so was the room. Furthermore, parts of the roof construction blocked free access to the window, and the bathroom had no windows at all.I received a friendly welcome and the breakfast the next morning was ok considering the low price.What I really liked: the staff was in top shape, the young woman who was called from the regulars' table, Patricia, had the shop completely under control, was competent and confident. The kitchen was also great, I haven't eaten such good home cooking in a long time.So big praise for the service and kitchen, I wouldn't want to stay overnight in this room at least.Addendum for revisit on May 17, 2024:The food in the inn is still uniquely delicious (I don't know that I have eaten better anywhere else this year, the beer is perfectly tapped, the service is top notch, just like you would want in any restaurant.Unfortunately we also spent the night there. The room on the ground floor could not be darkened, the blinds only dimmed the light slightly. The worst thing, however, was the situation on the street: people discussed loudly until after midnight, and cars drove over the noisy cobblestones all night long. I barely closed my eyes.So restaurant full 5 stars, rooms more like max. 3 stars…
