Very cozy country inn! And the cuisine is excellent. The rooms are simple but large. You can sleep really well on the mattresses. Well, the bathroom is quite small, but very clean. For this purpose, a sleeping blanket and a feeding area with 2 bowls on a surface were provided for the dog. There was a nice beer garden outside, although it was closed due to the season/weather. The local location is nice if you are passing through or want to take day trips to nearby cities by car. Or hiking and cycling tours. Otherwise, Waldhausen is just a village with a beautiful little church. I can't say much about other possible leisure destinations because we were there for a family reunion and otherwise didn't have time for other events and excursions. There are enough parking spaces at the house. The owners are very welcoming. The menu makes your heart beat faster. From local specialties with a more modern interpretation to vegan, everyone will find something. Nevertheless, the choice is not too large. Especially good eaters are happy

Disappointment. You can check in only from 4:30 p.m. There is no refrigerator in the room. They cook until 6 p.m. Breakfast until 8 a.m. and there is no fried bacon on the menu. Eggs tasteless. To my disappointment. Otherwise they have GREAT COFFEE!!.

We spent one night on our bike tour in the old linden tree. The beer garden is cozy and the food and service were great. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. We'd love to come back.

I was quite disappointed with the restaurant. The food wasn't as good as I expected. The veal cream goulash was okay, but the meat was tough. The salad was quite good, but the potato salad was definitely not homemade. The vegetables in the goulash were too soft and seasoned with too much pepper. But the spaetzle was okay. For the price of the goulash, that's really cheeky. We also had the chicken schnitzel with fries. The fries were very tasty, but the meat wasn't quite as good. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit, and some dishes should be revised again.

We always enjoy coming to the Alte Linde to eat, it's always a highlight 🥰😍. Seasonal dishes, perfectly coordinated, very attentive and friendly service, beautiful location inside and outside. If you want to enjoy food with that certain something, this is the right place for you. We are already looking forward to our next highlight. 🌺😊

Very good and upscale gastronomy in a cozy rural atmosphere. Owner and staff very friendly and accommodating. A very cozy beer garden in summer. Seasonal offers with changing daily menus. We come often and enjoy it. I can't say anything about the rooms as I didn't stay overnight.

The hotel room was booked by my insurance company because I had a car breakdown. Check-in is until 10:00 p.m. I arrived at the hotel at 9:50 p.m. I tried to contact the hotel by phone from 6:00 p.m. to inform them that I would arrive 10 minutes before 10:00 p.m. but it was impossible. because the phone wasn't answering... When I got there, I asked if breakfast was included in the price, and the lady replied that she didn't know and couldn't check it on the computer because the program had already finished working and I would find out all the information in the morning. I was very tired, so I went to the room, which was very clean, but the voltage in the sockets did not allow me to charge my phone... In the morning, the lady at the reception said that I had to pay for the stay because her boss had said so... I protested and said that she had booked the room for my insurance company and the insurance company has to pay for it because after a 20-minute discussion it turned out that I was right and the lady made the payment with a credit card that the insurance company provided the day before... but at the beginning the lady insisted that I should pay in cash because her boss told her so.. After this unpleasant situation, I told the lady that I should get a free breakfast for the stress and time wasted due to the hotel's fault and lack of respect for the guest. The lady told me that she couldn't do anything because she only worked here. This is a stupid excuse because the lady at the reception should make sure that the customer leaves satisfied, as accommodation in this hotel is not the cheapest... If I had to pay with my own wallet, I would not choose this hotel.

A really great owner-managed hotel with great cuisine, good service - very child-friendly!The hotel room is spacious, practical and above all very clean!What is particularly noteworthy is that the restaurant is run with a lot of hard work, skill and passion - we will definitely be back! The Hotel is on a crossroads in a small village in a rather bleak landscape Ample parking space, reception open until 10.00 PM. On arrival we were shown the wrong room. It took about an hour to sort it out without apology. …

Absolutely recommended. Service and hospitality are very important here, and the food is really very good. We haven't eaten something so delicious for a long time. Anyone who enjoys an exceptionally beautiful ambience and culinary delights has come to the right place. The Old Linden Tree is definitely worth a visit.

I was in the restaurant, on business. I ordered the crispy chicken, but I got small chicken strips. It smelled and tasted extremely like fried sausage. You didn't taste any of the chicken at all.My work colleague was also able to confirm the same thing to me. After I asked the waitress about it, there was no response. Again I was offered to have the dish remade for me, and nothing came back from the kitchen. The waitress just laughed fakely, something like that has never happened to me before.When I paid, I asked her about it again, but there was no response again.Not recommended.
