A real highlight! The food is excellent and you can immediately tell that everything is freshly prepared. Particularly noteworthy is the Kaiserschmarren - incredibly tasty and definitely one of the best I've ever eaten! The restaurant is highly recommended for anyone who appreciates quality and taste. I'd love to come back!

Great house with small potential for improvement.Room absolutely sufficient, unfortunately a TV that was too small and no place to put your suitcase.Special requests are also fulfilled. If you expect schnitzel with fries here, you're wrong. Rarely eaten so well. I'm looking forward to breakfast 👍💚

There were three of us in this gem in the Franconian Forest and had a great stay. Since the region was quite well visited (trade fair in Kulmbach, Wagner Festival in Bayreuth...), I discovered the Berghof online, with good reviews, pictures and prices and booked it online. The process is digitalized and simple.Our expectations were met and largely exceeded:- an owner-managed business in the xth generation with committed hosts and great employees- creative and very enjoyable cuisine- perfect, personal and dedicated serviceOnly in the room area (we had the holiday home) is there still some room for improvement.👍Absolutely recommended and also worth a detour through the wonderful landscape of the Franconian Forest...

It was a lovely evening in the restaurant, the food was delicious and there was a great atmosphere that rounded off the evening.Unfortunately, our empty drinks/empty plates were only taken away at the very end of the visit.I know it differently and have deducted stars for the service

Unfortunately a failure. We were baited on the first visit, which consisted of just one drink. Because of my wheat allergy, I couldn't eat anything at the time. The team was very friendly and said that I should simply mention my allergy when making the reservation; the kitchen can offer alternatives. Today we were taught otherwise. From the entire menu I was only able to eat the gazpacho (€9) and a leaf salad (€25) with 4 shrimps (€18). My husband had the 3-course menu for €39. On what grounds does a 3-course meal cost less than a leaf salad with 4 prawns? The friendliness of the staff today also left a lot to be desired. Questions were answered with annoyed and unfriendly answers. With an invoice total of €171, I expect a different service and a different price-performance ratio. I can draw a comparison from a meal with a 1-star chef in the middle of the Bavarian Alps (highly frequented) where we got a wheat-free fish menu (3 courses per person) including wine accompaniment for two people for the same price.

We were in Wartenfels for the first time at the end of February, what an experience!It started with a great reception, the service was quick and very accommodating. The food was really “celebrated” and it was really fun. In short, it was a very nice evening for us, we will definitely be back!We are repeat offenders, in May 2019 we were able to have another great evening at the Berghof. Many thanks to the whole team.Now we finally had “fine food” again (July 4th, 21) despite the lockdown, the team didn’t forget anything. It was a really great evening with delicious food and very friendly service. We would love to come back.At the beginning of October we went to a "control dinner" with friends again...as before, nice service, delicious food, all in all a nice evening.December '23 it was once again "fine food" announced, as before, always an experience and great food along with nice service!!!. We'll be back
