Went to the "Kranich" with a group of motorcyclists.We were given a great welcome🙂👍Rooms were large and good and the food was great and plentiful.Not to forget the homemade cake🙂Great boss and best service. We are happy to recommend the “Kranich” and it certainly won’t be the last time there.

It's a shame that there were so few guests there, even though the owner made a real effort. The location is well suited for short trips and hikes.Motorcycle rental is also possible.

My colleagues and I had the misfortune of staying in this hotel for over a month. The place itself, it must be admitted, is clean, there is only so much good that can be said about this hotel. The biggest minus is definitely the owner himself, who can make a fuss over even the slightest thing and ruin even the best atmosphere. Hates and remarks made by Mr. T tries to dress in an unfunny way. Another problem is the coldness of the canteen and the monotony of the food. We often had to return the dish for corrections. I don't think anyone needs to be told what the consequences of eating undercooked pork can be. If you are looking for a place where the owner will effectively spoil your stay, I sincerely recommend it.

Our family was a guest at the Berggasthof & Hotel Kranich with 9 people from October 8th - 9th, 2021. The hotel is in a beautiful location in the middle of the beautiful Thuringian nature and not far from the summer toboggan run. The rooms with balconies are spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. We had half board and the food was very imaginative, tasty and plentiful. The innkeepers were very nice and responded to personal requests. So we had a very fun and unforgettable family celebration. A special highlight was the trip on a Harley-Davidson, which our son was able to borrow there. Overall we really liked it there, keep it up!!!!

We were there as part of a motorcycle tour. The hotel is nice and quiet, the rooms are spacious and bright. Breakfast is also good, very nice owner couple. The barbecue evening was an experience. Recommended...

My bed was lumpy and I slept on the springs. Mattress should be replaced, but it is not. The next day I had an extra blanket given to me and put it underneath, so it worked somewhat. The innkeeper could have saved himself the stupid comments about my eating habits. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to eat a lot of things and I always asked so I could eat there. I paid for a full breakfast and could only eat yoghurt and a few fruits if there were any. The innkeeper himself had a hard time handing out yoghurt and made condescending comments. It was supposed to be funny, but I found it presumptuous. The only positive thing was a large, bright room with a balcony. Nevertheless, we will no longer move into accommodation there.
