I have just spent almost a week's holiday here at the Waldgasthof Lorchenmühle with my wife and I am thrilled in every respect.The food, the room, the innkeepers, the landscape, etc. everything was perfect.It's clear to us that we'll be back.I would like to say thank you to the innkeepers.ADDENDUM!I would like to write a new review... unfortunately I can't do it... So I'll try it like this.Since we enjoyed our spring vacation so much, we of course also told our friends about it. They were curious and spent a short vacation with us in the Lorchenmühle.The result is... super nice, super good…. just perfect!!!Many thanks again to the whole team for the wonderful time. We will be back…. and believe me... There is nothing more beautiful than the Lorchenmühle!

We stayed at the Waldgasthof Lorchenmühle for two nights. The booking was made via the hotel’s homepage or via email. The contact (questions regarding check-in, breakfast, etc.) was nice and quick. The hotel is in a nice, quiet location, away from the nearest main road, surrounded by forests. A sufficient number of free parking spaces, including for non-small cars, are available. The welcome and check-in were courteous and problem-free.Cash payment is necessary here. We simply withdrew the money while shopping the days before.Although we ended up at the Waldgasthof Lorchenmühle by chance, we will definitely come back - and for a longer period of time. We really really liked it.

I confess, I am a repeat visitor to the Lorchenmühle as I was there for the 7th time this weekend. It was a very emotional weekend for me with the Eichler family, Bianca and Renato. As always, the rooms were very clean and lovingly furnished. Bianca (the service fairy) reads your wishes from your eyes. Renato's cooking skills cannot be described in words - you simply have to experience it (Thank you Renato, what you conjured up this weekend was out of this world and simply heavenly). I would also like to thank the Eichler family, who gave me a huge surprise.In short, I have already booked the next stay there for my sister and her husband and I this morning. We are already looking forward to being guests there again. Unfortunately, this warm, familial atmosphere is very rare these days - in the Lorchenmühle it is lived. Thank you - see you soon

Wow, what an experience. We were there for the first time and were warmly welcomed. Running a business like this with just the family commands the utmost respect. We are grateful that there are still innkeepers who make you feel at home. We really hope to be guests there more often. The Munich ones ;-)

The Lorchenmühle is super beautiful. Well maintained. Very clean. The food corresponds to fine dining. For example, we had a rack of lamb... I've never eaten it so deliciously! And very attractively priced! Very nice service. Simply perfect. We can highly recommend the Lorchenmühle!!!

We spent the first two weeks of October in the beautifully furnished holiday apartment. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking. You can join the hiking trails directly from the Lorchenmühle or reach them after a short drive. The hotel is lovingly run by Renato and Bianca, who anticipate your every need. We skipped lunch for the entire vacation. On the one hand, the breakfast buffet is richly laid out and in the evening we were spoiled by Renato's excellent cooking skills. It's not for nothing that they say: "Renato can't do small portions!" 😋The highlight, however, was "Renato's kitchen party", which we were able to attend. You watch the chef in his kitchen preparing the dishes: starter soups, main courses and desserts and are allowed to eat each course. We were guests at the Lorchenmühle for 7 days in September. This beautiful accommodation is located in a very quiet valley. That means pure peace and relaxation.We had a very nice room on the second floor with a balcony, which was very clean. You could tell straight away that this is family run. The delicious breakfast and dinner, which we were unfortunately only able to enjoy three times because we had a few appointments in beautiful Franconia, were very, very good. In the kitchen, the products are handled very carefully. There is a lot of love involved in the preparation. We had a wonderful, relaxing time in the Lorchenmühle.Bianca looked after us and Renato's food is really delicious, always fresh and varied. The hotel is located in a quiet and idyllic location on the edge of the forest. The rooms are wonderful, the entire property is super clean and well maintained.The gardeners say thank you very much 🌸

Absolutely lonely (I mean that in a positive way) and therefore very quiet, in the middle of nature (also positive, if you ignore the lack of mobile phone network). You need your own means of transport, but then you can easily get to the many places worth seeing in the area (many hiking opportunities). Pleasant rooms, breakfast buffet, down-to-earth cuisine (that's meant in an absolutely positive way), very friendly and attentive (and familiar) service. Overall, ideal for both a few days and a “real” vacation.
