We stayed in the Haus am Wald for 14 days, the holiday apartment is modern, you have everything you need, we were mainly interested in hiking, so mostly just breakfast, the location is excellent, a starting point for many hikes, especially on the Rennsteig, we come again!

We were in the apartment “Gottlob” in the week before Easter 2022. It was a very nice stay. The apartment is very tastefully decorated. You can find everything you need. At breakfast you have a great view over Friedrichroda. Booking as well as arrival and departure were completely uncomplicated; the landlady was very nice. Highly Recommended! 👍

Very clean, quiet and well-equipped apartment. Everything you need is there. I had apartment number 1.This apartment is perfect for 1-2 people (without children). The house is located right next to the forest and you have a wonderful view over Friedrichroda. Everything is within easy walking distance. I will definitely come back and can only recommend it. The booking and entire process is easy and will be answered promptly. (Wifi works perfectly throughout the house)Greetings to Friedrichroda

There were four of us there and not for the first time.We had apartment 4. a very spacious 3 room apartment. Stylishly and comfortably furnished. The children shared the room with the loft bed.The bathroom is very large. We always feel very comfortable there. The location is a dream. Very quiet, with a view of the valley.

The Thuringian Forest holiday apartment in Haus am Wald is small but nice: beautifully and functionally furnished with everything you need. The house itself is actually located in the forest, so you can start hiking straight away. I'd love to come back.

We will be back. Very well-equipped and clean holiday apartment in a great location at a fair price. For the second time, we as a family were able to spend a few days in apartment number 2 and were absolutely satisfied. The furnishings in the apartment have not lost any quality over the years.

Wonderful place to unwind. Friedrichroda as such is always worth a trip; this holiday apartment completes the experience. Very nice and committed operators who were able to give good tips on excursion destinations and activities and always had an open ear. Facilities very well maintained, beautiful rooms and a perfect view over Friedrichroda. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the evening with a good bottle of wine. We recommend!

Visit period August 12, 2017 to August 17, 2017The three of us stayed in the “Rennsteig” holiday apartment. The holiday apartment has a 4* certification, which we think it deserves.The apartment is modernly furnished and offers all the amenities you need for a vacation.There is an open kitchen that leads to the living room, a long hallway, a room with a double bed and a walk-in closet and another room with a single bed. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and is a pleasant size and has enough storage space. In addition to the existing towel holder, additional hooks for larger towels would be helpful. Since the house is in the forest, insect screens on the windows would, in our opinion, be very useful.The bed linen on the beds smelled good (our daughter's quote).Information about the location and a kind of welcome folder containing information about the equipment of the apartment would be helpful. I'm thinking about dealing with electrical devices, sorting waste, etc.There was no WiFi on the upper floor. It was just enough to get to the middle, but then there was no reception at the top.The umbrellas and walking sticks in the entrance area are also really good.All in all it was a nice and quiet stay in the apartment. The small criticisms don't stop us from giving it 5* anyway. The view over the place from the dining table alone is sensational.We are happy to recommend the holiday apartment, and the landlady and her husband also make a very friendly impression.Greetings from the far north :)
