The only thing that was really good is the nature around it.Let's get to the things that weren't nice.1. Mold in the showers. Not just in one place.2. If you book full board, you may get quarter board.3. Rooms that were previously rented were not allowed to be used because another group rented them weeks after us. (Whoever pays more than the usual price gets priority.4. Lunch consisted of pasta with tomato sauce and meatballs. Noodles ok but they could have given away the red water and the 3 pre-cooked meatballs5. A barbecue evening was planned, when you asked about rolls, you were told that you had to see what was left from the group that had eaten before us.As I said, booked full board. Overall I have to say it was a failure and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Not suitable for children or adults. I don't even want to start talking about the rooms. Neither the beds nor the closets were complete. It doesn't matter whether prices etc. have risen, but no one has to go through that for their family or group. This is not my personal opinion but that of over 40 people.Good tip to the owners. If someone books a service, stick with it or offer something similar.This should be a place for children to relax. It's better to raise the price instead of ripping people off. Furthermore, I have criminal matters checked because various things work and don't work at all.I would also like to say something that was good, and that was the hot water in the evening, which you don't always have.I would have liked to write a lot more positive things but unfortunately I couldn't find anything.

Dear operators of this youth hostel,Actually, we would have preferred to give zero stars in advance, but since this is unfortunately not possible, we just give it one star! We were here three years ago with the 7th grade. Many outdoor activities were rather unpleasant and we got lost on the night hike. During the game "Forest Prison" a fellow player broke his arm, then the supervisors said, "Just carry on!" Afterwards, another student got a cut on his head, but we were still supposed to keep playing. That was actually the end of it and a supervisor said: “It’s not that bad, it just happens.” Now I'm here again with some friends and their parents. The room we are in is already dirty, as are the bed linen. Luckily we only stay here one night. For everyone who wants to go here, don't do it!

Nice, quiet location. Beautiful terrain with a variety of activity options. The food was good and the kitchen staff was friendly. However, the facility is a bit old and the hygiene standards are not up to date. The following applies particularly to the sanitary facilities: old is not a bad thing, but they can be clean.

In August 2023 we spent 3 great days getting to know each other here with our new trainees.The participants particularly praised the caring support and consideration of individual wishes.Everyone had a lot of fun with the varied program.We would like to thank the Waldhof team very much and look forward to coming back.
